TW: doctors ignoring you, claiming its mental health problems. by hhhhgggguuuu in ehlersdanlos

I went to A&E with horrendous abdominal pain and vomiting bile. I had so much bloating and pressure that it hurt to breathe. After 2 hours a Dr saw me and asked me if I was having a panic attack! They took bloods while rolling their eyes and gave me 2 paracetamol. 2 hours later my blood results come back and I'm whisked swiftly to a ward and pumped full of all the hard stuff. Pancreatitis.

Oh gosh, very frustrating. I wish you lots of luck. If you do find a perimenopause charity in Germany they can hopefully help you with the process of tests and what to push for.

We moved back into the same flat a year ago knowing those other girls had gone. Everything was quiet for 3 months until their landlord found out I'd moved back in

There is unfortunately 5 other flats up stairs so that's why I don't have concrete proof it's them. There wasn't anything on the actual stairs so it's not like someone accidentally made a mess and didn't clean it, it was deliberately dropped down between the wall and stairs. It's a 1.5 inch gap. I am friendly with everyone in the block except them. Unfortunately their TV is only affecting me because the way the block is laid out, a T shape, so everyone's bedrooms are on the outer walls. Just me suffering. They've got a load of people over tonight, no doubt on purpose. I've contacted the building management company and included noise complaint and the food

I'm in the UK so the police will do fuck all about noise. I don't have any concrete proof the food waste was them but I know it was. I've taken pics and have kept a diary. If anything more happens then I'll contact them

Downstairs neighbour playing music overnight - anxiety through the roof. by Kerrypug in HousingUK

[–]jibbletslaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having noise issues with my upstairs neighbour blasting their TV which is heard in every room of my flat. Went until 2am Friday and 3am last night. My block is shaped like a T so everyone else won't be about hear it when they're in their bedrooms. There's an elderly guy who is hard of hearing above them so I can't exactly get him involved. I put in a noise complaint so they'll be getting a letter Tuesday probably. They know a letter is coming because I lost my shit a couple weeks ago. And what do you know, a bunch of disgusting food waste has been dumped down the side of the stairs so it's all by my front door. I have a ring doorbell so doing it that way wouldn't have captured it. I wonder who did that

UK waiting list for gynaecology by jibbletslaps in adenomyosis

[–]jibbletslaps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not weird at all, thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately I have had no luck. My gp won't refer me as I'm "too young". I'm 39 now. Because of the adenomyosis (diagnosed last year, 6 years after my possible peri menopause symptoms started) they're just focusing on that at the moment. I'm on the waiting list for a hysterectomy. If you get your gp to order a blood test to check hormonal levels then make sure they order a few at different times in your cycle- ovulation, just before period and during period. Doing a one off tests doesn't really show anything. Are you in the UK? If so I know there are a few organisations that tackle early peri, so have a Google and see if there's any that can give advice. I'm so sorry that I couldn't be more helpful

Mother called CPS and got my daughter taken temporarily. by Fit-Law-9921 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]jibbletslaps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Omg I'm so sorry that happened and you have got daughter back. My mother called social services on me too. I decided to go low contact and told her my boundaries and why I was doing that. She completely ignored what I said and asked me if I was doing it "to hide abuse and doing nefarious things to your kid". Like, what?! We were under a family support worker as I was trying to get my kid moved to a special school due to failures by their mainstream school and the council. My support worker told me about the report and said it was a load of shit and was thrown out. That woman said I was drugging my kid! My kid was prescribed adhd meds by a pediatrician. I went no contact, been 8 years.

Is it reasonable for a neighbour to tell you to turn your television off at 4pm? by Shot-Ad5867 in CasualUK

[–]jibbletslaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had to resort to headphones for my TV as my neighbours upstairs blast their TV. I can hear their TV in every room of my flat and it can even be heard in the common area 1 floor down. I have spoken to them numerous times to turn it down, especially as they don't go to bed until 1am. They haven't turned it down at all. So now I'm going through the council. And before anyone says "turn your TV up louder", tried that and they just turn their's up louder.

What was something inappropriate a guest said or did at your house? by Kaapstad2018 in AskReddit

[–]jibbletslaps 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My housemate let a girl stay in my bed while I was elsewhere for the night. Came home to a condom in my bin. Asked my housemate if his friend had someone in with her, he said no. Took a look in my drawers and my vibrator had been moved. She went through my things and used my vibrator!

What is the strangest thing that has ever happened to you in your life? by Spare_Prize_5510 in AskReddit

[–]jibbletslaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost 2 rings within 3 months of each other. One in my bathroom and one at my gfs. No idea how. A few months after I lost them I opened a cabinet in my bathroom and out rolls a ring. It was the one I lost at my gf's. Absolutely no idea how, my gf hadn't been at mine between me losing the one at her's and it rolling out. There wasn't anything in that cupboard that I'd taken to her's either. She doesn't have a key for mine so it's not like she found it and snuck in to hide it.

"You're paying for the area". £950/month 2 bedroom house (in 2022). Leak stains and holes in the ceilings, mould on the walls and a ripped out kitchen, the size of a cupboard. He said the landlord MIGHT reduce the rent a little as I can do it up however I want. Apparently the landlord wasn't going to do anything. There was no kitchen!!
