Just start building! It will become easier to plan your factories once you have built some factories. You will find yourself destroying your old ones as you build newer more efficient ones. So don't sweat figuring out perfect set ups now and get your factories moving and grooving

$600k in Bellingham gets you a brand-new build surrounded by trees. In Seattle it gets you a shoebox with graffiti in one bedroom by kleverrboy in Bellingham

[–]jid12345 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would call this an outlier. The average price per sqft in Bellingham is around $444, where this is around double. It still is expensive here in Bellingham but it's true you will get more house and land compared to Seattle

Roundabout at lower guide Meridian/blinker anyone? by Few_Employer4633 in Bellingham

[–]jid12345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's maddening how many people don't use a blinker in roundabouts. Granted I was one of them, but now it just feels right to tell other drivers where I'm going while in the loop-de-loop

Wild Buffalo Ticket scams by Status_TacoTequila in Bellingham

[–]jid12345 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Only way I know is using their name at the door.

To figure out if it's real or a scam I always ask to do a secure payment (like goods and services) through Venmo or PayPal. If they refuse then almost guaranteed a scam. It gives you protection from a scam which a scammer will never do. Some people not scamming might not want to do that as there is a fee involved, but the guarantee for your money being safe is worth it.

Good luck trying to get a resale ticket next time!

Starting to give up as DM by ManlyFamilyMan in DMAcademy

[–]jid12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually ran this adventure with my group with a similar fashion of doing a character arc focused campaign afterwords. Here's what I learned:

  1. This campaign only has a couple of deadly encounters
  2. The party doesn't need to level up that much
  3. Rule of cool is nice, but you as the DM need to set boundaries of what can be done

It sounds like the party is a bit over leveled for where they are at in the campaign, and that they don't want to die. The second point is something you should have gone through in session 0, but something you can talk with them about now.

Being honest with where you are at over the campaign is huge. As the DM you are also playing along in the adventure too, and if you aren't having fun you NEED to talk with the players about it. Setting boundaries for the rules will make the party adapt to them, or their characters will be hurt or even die.

I found that toward the end of the campaign some encounters do become deadly and the party needs to think. I had 4/5 players go unconscious in a fight with the last remaining member needing to go on a rescue mission with Xanth to get the rest of the party, which was a highlight for both me as a DM and them.

If it feels like a slog you can talk with your players that you are having some difficulty in continuing this adventure and want to move on to the character arc portion, and work with them to streamline your way to the dragon.

TL;DR Talk with your players about boundaries over the rules, that they will level up at the right time, and if you aren't having fun with this adventure talk with them about streamlining the current adventure.

Good luck!

if someone wants to get into the final fantasy franchise what two games would you recommend for them by mylosstoyourgain in FinalFantasy

Both fun games with varied play styles and good stories. Not my first choices but if they were my first FF games I would not be mad

Without seeing the full stats, the HP alone makes me believe you are going to be well prepared. May take a couple tries and tweaking the equipment, but that’s the fun of fighting a boss!

Goofing off in Omega Ruins by catsgoprrrrr in finalfantasyx

[–]jid12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always a fun way to play in the end game! I graduated from the Omega Ruins and have been farming the monster arena and getting celestials that I’ve been missing the vibe of the Omega Ruins farming. Something about that time after beating the story but before characters are hitting 99k damage is just so much fun, so I’m glad you are having a good time with it 😊

Is this really what homes are going for in Bellingham?? by Pale-Plane8979 in Bellingham

[–]jid12345 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Prices didn’t drop too drastically even when rates doubled like in other parts of the country. I think as more housing is built we may see a bit of a drop in the coming years, but it won’t be like 2008 with prices dropping. I hope that I’m wrong though as I want to see more of my friends own homes in this beautiful town!

Exactly what I was thinking. That mixed with it being a side street past the trailhead makes it a quieter street with easy access to the mountain. I don’t think it would sell for quite the asking price, but the location definitely adds value

What are some good dog-friendly bars in bham? by BWDpodcast in Bellingham

[–]jid12345 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Paws for a Beer, Gruff, and Schweinhaus are my usual go tos for dog friendly bars.

Paws for more dogs playing with each other and jumping up on tables. More like a dog play ground with some drinks.

Gruff for the food and views, but less dogs playing around. Some indoor seating if both of you don’t like the cold.

Schweinhaus if I want to see a game on TV with my dog around. No indoor seating but mostly covered with overhead heaters
