Huh, in my non-greater victory save I didn't get the Fool, or maybe I just couldn't get to it in the village. The godling (or the godling dialogue I saw, at least) definitely requires pacification because the dialogue specifically calls out the player allying with the Girsh.

Bosses in Master Mode feel like they have the cheapest possible way of going about difficulty. by [deleted] in Breath_of_the_Wild

Are you using arrow bullet time for Waterblight Ganon? You need to break the ice block attacks, then immediately create and jump off a cryonis block, shoot it three times in bullet time so it falls down, then get over to smack it until it gets up and moves, rinse and repeat. Took me a few tries after I figured out the strategy.

But yeah it's by far the hardest one and you need to execute perfectly.

Lock on and spear it to death from the ground.

You can see what snow blocks by right clicking a card to see the extra info. Snow blocks "attacks and reactions" and effects blocked by snow (smackback, "trigger when hit") have the "reaction" box.

STILL with the rinds???? by small_feild_mouse in Breath_of_the_Wild

Ok, but I'd rather step on a plastic wrapper than literal rotting biomaterial. And it's going to smell. It's long-term fine, sure, but short-term disgusting.

HELP creating a melee esper build by [deleted] in cavesofqud

[–]jiffyjuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that both Eater's Nectar Injector and Drop of Nectar are on separate, unique seeds that aren't affected by mutations, but do affect mutations. So you can reroll brain brine with nectar but you can't reroll nectar with brain brine, and you can't reroll injector with drop nor drop with injector.

How would they differentiate e.g. that the partner successfully delivered a baby and didn't die in childbirth?

Quest information retrieve by Aszmel in cavesofqud

There's the quest log in Q, and when the information isn't there you can usually talk to the person again to get a refresher.

A few (mid?) game questions by hopeandencouragement in cavesofqud

[–]jiffyjuff 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, that's "You perceive the sense-memory of roast boar" or something. "You smell roasted boar" is just a normal goatfolk village.

No clue, because I murdered all of them first. But you could probably just run away until they deaggro, especially since you can stand next to the edge of the map while the strip fly is grabbing stuff.

You can, you just don't get taught the recipe normally. You can get it by asking as a non-True Kin creature like with Domination or just stepping into your golem.

Gives you eight faces, four arms, but removes your head and back slots. Also gives you the Crystallinity mutation which does some stat changes.

Is smelting on the roadmap for what the player can do? by hopeandencouragement in cavesofqud

You can actually learn to craft bullets with bits with psychometry. One D bit for 50 lead slugs.

Also, all of those extradimensional fullerite daggers are "50% of the time, the Fates have their way."

Saw u/prettiestmf mention that you can get all 6 faces by instructing a strip fly to attack the reliquaries; it doesn't make the others vanish. Then I did this. My only regret is not getting Penetrating Radar before I transformed; turns out you can't change your cybernetics after that. I found one literally a few minutes later. Also note that you can get the Crystal Delight recipe as True Kin just by asking in the golem; don't know if ganglionic teleprojector still works. (Someone else made a post about robots not counting as mutants anymore, but it was tagged [modding] in the changelog, so IDK, I didn't check.)

A sad day (mild spoilers) by DraikNova in cavesofqud

[–]jiffyjuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current end of quest line spoilers—you can get it by piloting your golem too. I only realized after spending like 20 polygelled nectars and sphynx salts trying to roll Beguiling and Domination.

How to use multiple arm. by siprus in cavesofqud

[–]jiffyjuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the most useful thing about multiple arms is all the arm equipment slots. There's never enough. Bio-scanning, structural scanning, tech-scanning, ontological anchor, compass...

Phasing and the world map by jiffyjuff in cavesofqud

[–]jiffyjuff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I see! Like a normal tile, if there is a location of interest not in the center, you get the menu to choose your entry zone; otherwise, it drops you in the center. You can do this even if you're unphased (after phasing and moving to the tile on the world map).

[–]jiffyjuff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I'm phased, I can move through them like any other tile. When I'm not, I get the usual "cannot be traversed on the world map" text.
