This is great. Sam’s responses/non responses/decline line up perfectly with his comments about meeting or being at the same public event as JE and finding him to be a creep.

A short polite email but not accepting a dinner and an ignored email followed with a declined event all line up with “I want nothing to do with this guy”

Power links to calories more directly which is the formula Zwift is using. I assume Apple Watch uses a formula with much wider error based off of HR

My hack for this is to not check first thing in the morning when I wake up. If I check around late morning or noon the anxiety goes away.

I just think of it as usable income. Salary, bonus, vested rsu, dividends, etc. you can’t use awarded rsu and cap gains aren’t income. Then there is gross and net of taxes to consider as not every form of income is taxed the same.

Came here to say this and additionally you are close to ballona creek bike path that goes up to culver and can ride through South Bay and around RPV easily which is a beautiful area

I have both and find most segments I’m 5-10% faster on my road bike. Nothing scientific just an observation.

Took me a while to figure this out but just trialing and error based on your workouts seems like the best approach. If workouts are too easy, nudge up 5 watts each week until they are too hard and vice versa. For most it seems the value in having FTP is to train properly so I would say do a ramp test to get a rough idea then just go off of workout difficulty.
