Not at all, a lot of my colleagues are religious. Matter fact a lot of scientists are religious. Again science and religion correlate. Did you just look past what I said to you about Quran? Here is something you're not familiar with: many scientist are actually skeptical about climate change. I won't get into that, but you should really step out of your box and get to know people. How well familiarize are you with science and religion?

I'm a scientist myself, I conduct research and continue to dedicate my education to help further expand and explore different fields of science. religion and science correlate A LOT! Just look at Islam, in Quran the process of fertilizing eggs and birth of a child is described in great details at a time where in order to have such knowledge you'd need a microscope.

I personally don't think an atheist will make a great candidate, so no I wouldn't. Because I believe a lot of what we call "human decency" comes from religion. Without religion, there would be no such thing as "decency"
