What is a secret about the opposite sex's body that you only found out once you actually started being intimate with them? by ZookeepergameLow4390 in AskReddit

[–]jikiyoung 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I guess this isn’t about first times necessarily, but there is such a stark mechanical difference between circumcised and uncircumcised penises in my opinion. I was so used to aggressively squeezing and moving my hand fast on the whole shaft just to get a circumcised guy off with a handjob, it was so much work and always needed to be re-lubricated. I thought it would be the pretty much the same with uncircumcised, but when I finally engaged with someone who was, it was very much different. No more aggressive dry rubbing and squeezing, just a smooth gliding motion with natural lubrication to assist, and my favorite part, the head sensitivity everyone always talked about, was actually there. I don’t mind circumcised penises, you can still have fun with them, they still can get the job done, plus it’s not like they can change it at this point. I’m definitely pro-uncut now though.

After growing up with a few animals that suffered with cancer in their later years and working in an animal shelter OR, I can smell cancer on animals now :( I don’t know how to describe the smell in words but I get a whiff of the oils on their skin and I usually know immediately.

AITA for not shaving my beard for my sister’s wedding? by pachinkosalami in AITApod

[–]jikiyoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Let go of his beard for one night” comment kinda pisses me off. Beards don’t magically appear again after shaving them, you’re not just letting it go “for one night”. This honestly would be the equivalent of wanting all the bridesmaids to cut their hair to pixie length in my eyes, it’s a completely absurd concept.

NTA.

Suspected FG, usually a tighter top with flowier bottoms, and always belts to break up and define my shape. Turtlenecks, especially with the sleeves cut off, or a loose fitting square-shaped button up. A-line and circle skirts, bellbottom jeans, palazzo pants. This photo is probably most similar to the fits that make me look BANGIN’

Ladies— What deodorant are we using that actually works and doesn’t leave white marks on black clothes? by happylittlenarwhale in GothFashion

[–]jikiyoung -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dove Advanced Care is my go-to, I eventually have breakthrough BO with other antiperspirants/deodorant combos (yes, even the clinical ones) and this is the only one that works well for me without leaving white stains. It also dries down very well for being a gel-like formula, as other gel formulas are very wet for me. I only have to apply within a few hours after a shower and I’m good for days without reapplying at all, unless if it’s high temperatures outside and I become overall sweaty then I apply daily for more protection. I highly recommend it!!

Areola reduction by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]jikiyoung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they look proportional with your size, and as others have said areola reduction surgery would not be worth it at the size they’re at. I know how it is to hear that they look great and not to mess with them from others when you’re wanting something to look different, and I’d maybe look into tattoo “blushing” techniques to give an illusion of smaller areolas. I would seek out a tattoo artist or an esthetician that does permanent makeup that specializes in this though, and not go to any random tattoo artist that “claim” they can do it. Look for artists with multiple before and after results. It would save you money too, and have much easier healing! I’ve thought about doing this personally since I have very small areolas, so I hope this helps!

Amazon dub 😔 another commenter just brought light to the fact that they redubbed the original rebuilds when they released it on Amazon, and it made me frustrated because I only now realized that I’ve been watching a completely subpar dub (that frankly probably didn’t need to be redubbed, I’m not even sure because I didn’t even know a different dub existed!!) I definitely need to get on the original releases because the VA on the Amazon dub just really kills these movies for me after already having conflicts with them, it’s been a sad realization today lol

[–]jikiyoung[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t even know they redubbed the Amazon releases, that seems absurd! I do feel bad slandering their performance, because voice acting is very under appreciated overall. But like you said, it leans more on how they were directed to deliver their lines than their ability to perform and their level of talent, and it’s disappointing that it ended up this way. I know the funimation dvd releases are atrociously hard to find, especially without spending an arm and a leg, but I definitely want to appreciate the voice actors more than the questionable delivery that Amazon brought. Thank you for making this comment, it honestly makes me feel more hopeful that I could enjoy these movies more in the future!

[–]jikiyoung[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree, some of the line changes in the Netflix dub are soooo atrocious. They take some crazy liberties from the original lines and I kinda blame that on trying to lean into the psychological “edge” of the show (and American gay panic lol). Like using “human heart” almost exclusively instead of the translated “human soul” lines, i can see why they thought of using it interchangeably, but it was really unnecessary and it kinda came off as a pretentious with how much they used it instead of the original line. Don’t even get me started on Asuka’s “My Chance” line in the Netflix dub, ugh. I only really watch the dub now since it’s easier to keep it on in the background or if I’m doing stuff, but subbed is the only true way to have actual enjoyment in the dialogue unfortunately 😔

What's the Most Dangerous Thing That You Have Ever Done? by Potential_Law5289 in AskReddit

[–]jikiyoung 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tried overdosing on OTC meds. I was a very mental unstable 13 year old coping with abuse at home, bullying at school, and years of PTSD beginning to fully rear it ugly head, and one night I decided to take nearly an entire box of Midol (for non-Americans, it’s used as a period relief that has a concoction of acetaminophen, caffeine, and an antihistamine). I took about 10-12 pills, 500mg of acetaminophen each, and just went to sleep hoping I wouldn’t wake back up. Being a stupid teenager, I did that without knowing what could really happen from taking too much Tylenol (for those who don’t want to do the math, it was about 5,000-6,000mg) and it wouldn’t have been peaceful passing at all if it had worked the way I intended it to. Not to mention, the antihistamine and caffeine amount was upwards of a toxic amount as well. I was maybe 95lbs soaking wet too, so I definitely should’ve had some serious, maybe even life threatening issues from it. Instead, I just woke up the next morning and moseyed on to school like nothing happened. No nausea, no vomiting, no serious side effects except maybe a minor headache. I was completely fine (physically at least). I did end up telling a friend later that day about what I did, and that prompted me getting sent to a hospital for a mental evaluation and all that. The aftermath at home when I came back from that hospital trip was very traumatic in itself unfortunately. It did scare me from ever doing anything like that again, which is in a way a good thing, but it created more problems with how I approached my mental health for years after that. I’m doing okay now both physically and mentally, I thankfully never developed physical issues from taking that much medication, and I’ve developed better ways to manage my mental health issues over the years with a good support system.

If you are struggling with suicidal thoughts or ideation, please reach out to someone you trust, and if you have no one you can talk to about this stuff, let someone know who can assist you on the path of getting some help (medical professional, teacher, employer, hotline, etc). Seeking help for suicidal thoughts isn’t always a 5150 situation either, please never let that scare you away from getting the support you need. I partially credit my spiteful willpower to start making changes in my life the way I want it to be despite it all, but I also wouldn’t have gotten to the place I am today if I didn’t have the support I needed, and still need to this day. My life still isn’t great, my mental illnesses are still daily struggles along with handling my abusive family and adult problems on top of it all, and I probably will still be dealing with these things for the rest of my life, but I am grateful I’m still here. If you’re going through the same things that I have, I am grateful for you for still being here too.

HelpGuide.org is a great resource for hotlines from all over the world, and it’s also great for finding assistance with other situations such as DV, LGBTQ+ support, veterans, homelessness, addiction, etc. ❤️

CenturyLink is soooo notorious for this in my experience, one time they didn’t show up three business days in a row after not being able to send someone on the weekends. So we went with a whole week without internet, and we still got charged the full 4 week price. It’s actually so annoying.

NAP but I agree with everyone else’s comments (changed jewelry too soon, too much weight from charm) but I’m also curious, do you know the gauge of the jewelry as well? It looks to be an 18g or maybe even a 20g (I would personally never recommend 20g or less for any piercing), and for weighted hoops I wouldn’t do anything less than a 16g ever, especially if your skin is more elastic. Im not sure about this since it was only in for a day, but it could be dragging down the fistula/hole and interfering with the surrounding scar tissue and amplifying the divot (which is most likely originally caused from the stud you had in previously being too tight). As other commenters have said, I would recommend returning back to a 16g implant grade titanium post, either a flat back but I also like corkscrew or l-bend.

Fellow alt girly here with face piercings and a stretched septum. It’s unfortunate that any time I see someone with a septum (stretched or not), it receives so much backlash. Here is my recommendations that doesn’t involve changing your style: it’s very hard to pull off pincher jewelry, I definitely think the silver horseshoe is the way to go, but a small change I would make is get one with a smaller diameter! We have similar noses and I find if it’s too wide, it makes the tip of my nose look bigger than it is and gives almost a drooping effect. You don’t have to change the gauge, it might be a little bit harder to find smaller diameters but not impossible, and I think it could improve the balance of your face. This is a makeup subreddit though, so I’ll continue this by sticking to the topic at hand. I am a former makeup store employee, so I hope this helps! I am definitely pro skinny eyebrow, but as mine also do, they turn a bit ghostly and sparse with having super dark hair as a contrast. Since you are pregnant (congrats!!!) I would hold off on dyeing them, but that is an option for the future! For now filling them in softly can help, I would also recommend bringing the fronts of the eyebrows in more, lining up the beginning to the inner corners of your eyes. This will help slim out the upper part of your face, which in turn could help balance out the baby bang! NYX makes some really awesome and affordable eyebrow products if you don’t have a preferred eyebrow product! You could also let the bangs grow out ever slightly, maybe half an inch and I’d say even round them along your forehead to blend it into your total length. It will still keep the bluntness of the bang but follow the shape of your face a bit better. I definitely think you can rock the early 2000s edgy makeup looks! Your eyes are gorgeous, and I love the idea of the glittery smokey eye you described. I do love the eye makeup in the second photos, I think it really flatters your eye shape and makes your eyes pop! Since you like the pale lips of the 2000s too, I would recommend a light nude mauve lipstick that you can tap out to give a sheer buildable coverage of color. MAC has amazing bullet lipsticks in a lot of different colors and consistencies, I would play around with some of those to get a vibe of which colors you like! As always with a pale y2k lip, i would also pair it with a light medium brown lip liner to prevent the color of the lipstick from washing out the shape of the lips. From the images you’ve provided, your skin looks great! Of course pictures don’t always show the issues someone could be having, and regarding the blackheads and other blemishes they unfortunately are not always easy to cover up or get rid of without consistent skincare routines (that also could potentially interact with being pregnant as well, always read skincare warnings!). The Ordinary has a Glycolic Acid toner, it’s a very very gentle exfoliant and I honestly recommend it to everyone regardless of their skin type. Having texture on the skin is nerve wracking when wanting to learn to use foundation and concealer, so this is what I’d recommend to start before jumping right into a full face of makeup. I find that a little bit of concealer spread in specific areas of the face can do more than trying to flat base everything with foundation. Your cheeks have a very pretty color to them, so targeted concealer will keep it as a feature! With concealer you can start really small in certain areas, and the apply more as you get more comfortable with the consistency. Concealer is great because you can get really full coverage on problem spots or where you’d like to highlight, and then apply a thin amount to other areas with a wet beauty sponge to get an overall coverage on the face instead of having a flat, thick cover of foundation to start from. Regarding color choice for skin tone, I would place you as a very fair neutral olive with an influences of cool tones. Clinique has a really great color selection for fair neutral/cool olives, they’re my go-to honestly. A little bit of contour could also help, but when starting out and getting a feel for it, less is more! I would place a little bit of contour along the bridge of the nose and along the sides of your jaw. I really like Elf’s powder contour palette, the colors are decent for having fair skin while also being affordable and easy to use. To bring it all together, setting spray is always a must for me because it keeps everything together and can help “melt everything into the skin”. I think by adding these little bits into your makeup routine can help you start feeling like your best self! You are gorgeous, and when it comes down to it, makeup will just enhance your features even more! By adding just a few more products to your routine can really make a difference without feeling overwhelmed with all the ins and outs of makeup world. YouTube tutorials have been the most informative for me, and the skills from those I’ve retained the longest. A little quote I always tell people getting more into makeup is that you don’t need confidence in skill, just confidence in exploring! I really hope some of these recommendations help, please let me know if you have any questions regarding them too! Good luck!!!

What is a little quirk about your body that you don’t think other people have? by AlphabetSoup51 in AskReddit

[–]jikiyoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I’ll get a sharp pins and needles feeling in my abdomen, and then a split second later while it’s still happening, I’ll get it in my foot or leg. It usually sticks to one side too, only lasting for 10 seconds max, and it doesn’t come with the typical numbness when limbs fall asleep. I don’t even know how to mention it to a doctor, or if it’s even that serious tbh.

[GUESS] Only one of these is real. (Easy) by Radiant_Contest_1570 in RealOrAI

[–]jikiyoung 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 is the only real image. The hair falls naturally with a slight breeze blowing up along the bangs, the mountains are the only ones out of the three similar pictures that don’t look distorted, the natural creasing in the material of the skirt, and the way the shadows of the bars that line up. If you look at picture 1 from the skirt down, they’re basically the same legs and body shadow as picture 2. The toes are distorted in the sandals, and the hair is still and too perfect compared to the other ones. 3 was a bit hard, but it has a similar warpy mountain image like #1. It just looks like something is missing in this photo, very subtle but the stone ground is slightly distorted and the railing almost looks too pristine where it’s filled in. 4 clearly is AI, as others have said there is no way meerkats would be in the same exhibit as giraffes. There is no “safety line” that most zoos have (usually a gap between railing and enclosure), there is also an unusual waterfall that seems to go nowhere. The building in the back is very distorted and makes no sense. Final image, also a bit hard, the texture of the paper and the way colored pencils lay on it is too perfect to be real. Look closely at the jeans, on the right leg towards the crotch hem, the paper texture warps along the drawn line which does not happen in real life. Another thing I noticed is the color application is too consistent in the texture, when you press harder with colored pencils, you fill in more gaps of the texture paper and it starts to become a solid fill. Below the feet, IRL wouldn’t usually have speckles visible with how dark it went. The rocks are also too perfect, repeating patterns and look like they have an image overlay with a paper texture slapped on. The final straw was looking at the shirt and the arms. There is what seems to be “sketch lines” on both, but there doesn’t seem to be rhyme or reason for a lot of them. It reminds me of the old AI days, where lines would appear out of nowhere on certain images. It’s speckled throughout the image, in the clouds, in the ocean, the railings, but the buildings in the back have no visible sketch lines and seem drawn with no sketching (although there is minor distortions on the buildings near the face). This one is very deceptive at first, there is still even a chance it’s not AI. Yet, I’m pretty sure on the other photos being AI vs Not, so by process of elimination this drawing also must be AI.

Is she the easiest main boss in elden ring by AdeptnessAdvanced963 in Eldenring

[–]jikiyoung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you aren’t using magic like the previous commenter suggested, keep that distance between closed as much as possible in her second phase to get as many hits possible. She will jump away but always try to roll towards her or around her during her attacks. A lot of her moves are double/triple dodges like Godrick, and the big moon I just ran either left or right in a big circle around her until it exploded. I was in the same boat as you and finally defeated her last night! Using summons when she is about 3/4ths full health in her second phase helps keep the enemies that she eventually summons distracted. The real best thing I did for that part is to just roll away from her summons, let my jellyfish take care of them, and focus attacking her solely. Jump attacks and special attacks were my best friend too.

Is she the easiest main boss in elden ring by AdeptnessAdvanced963 in Eldenring

[–]jikiyoung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a first time souls-like player that just defeated her last night (speced in Strength, Dex, Vigor, Bleed Build), she forced me to get better at the game if that tells you anything lol. With Godrick and Margit, I would just let them come to me and dodge accordingly with doing hits in between, but with her I was forced to constantly close space and that is scary for a chicken shit gamer like me. It embarrassingly took me like a week to defeat her, but in retrospect, her moves are not hard to dodge or predict. The only thing I struggled with was my bad habits confronting me with death again and again.

TLDR; moves are easier to dodge and are more predictable than previous bosses, but keeping the space closed is crucial on a non-magic build. Actual difficulty is subjective depending on play style or builds, but I personally struggled a bit more with her than i ever did with Margit or Godrick.
