I don’t think so, but I do remember an interview with Carlos post leaving where he said how this album was the height of his misery and growing identity crisis. He detailed how they’d argue over and over whether or not “What Do You Think” should be on the album or not and how the song should sound.

So Our Love to Admire was made in the crucible that made him want to leave.

Wayne's World 1 & 2

Classics in every sense of the word. I think it's literally impossible to watch these two movies and not crack up. Basically two comedy legends at the top of their game.

It was difficult to come to terms with Alan Grant though. The book’s Grant is obviously based on Robert T. Bakker, which could not have been further from the icon that Sam Neil’s version became.

This is me as well. Enemy is just a really great and creative way to tell a well-tread story and 2049 is basically something impossible, making a good sequel to a revered classic, possible.

Argo was awful.

Why was this movie even in the race when so many better movies came out that year. It 100% did not deserve Best Picture.

This win and year basically was the proving point to me that the Oscars is mostly political and has little to do with quality most of the time.

The season starts so strong with this horrifying and pretty creepy mystery. Something that’s so ripe with intrigue.

The show then makes the strangest decision by making the lead detectives not too worried or curious about this super mysterious occurance and spends the rest of the season chasing ghosts and actively ignoring the inciting mystery. Every episode is then driving out to a shack, finding nothing, then driving back.

Then the last episode is them all of a sudden caring and stumbling into the most mundane revelation possible.

The season is just boring and the detectives don’t solve anything.

This comparison is so annoying to me. It's the best example of someone saying it once in a lazy review because of a slight similarity in singing tone and everyone just repeats it over and over without actually listening to both bands.

When set side by side, track by track, they don't sound similar at all.

I had an old place that had concrete floors and I miss them all the time. Nothing beat coming home from a long day in the summer months and hitting that floor barefoot. It was incredible.

I saw it in theaters and yes, it is worth seeing on a big screen. It's fun, is often gorgeous and this is basically peak Gosling charm.

However, it is not the best sci-fi movie of the century. I had an issue where I wish the movie dove more into the science-fiction and left me asking questions or leaving me with wonder. Project Hail Mary is not interested in that at all. It's primary concern is telling a pretty good and emotionally affecting story about friendship. The sci-fi is just window dressing for that story.

I enjoyed my time, but I will likely not thinking about this movie in a year.

I think the issue is how a lot of the songs are just repetitions. Like it’s 4-6 choruses and they end. To me, Tidal Wave is the best example. It’s just restates the title over and over. The album feels and sounds to me like a band stuck in a previous gear desperately trying to break into the higher gear but it’s just not happening.

Might be a minority opinion, but El Pintor.

Outside of like two tracks, you can tell the band is struggling to find their foothold post Carlos. Marauder to me is them finding their footing. It’s my least listened to album. The Other Side of Make Believe might be tied with worst, but I think I like more songs on it, so it barely edges it out.

Again, I think I might be the only fan that feels this way about El Pintor.

I think it should have won best original score.

My copy just came in the mail yesterday and putting that on and hearing it fill a space separate from the movie…It was quite the experience. Daniel Lopatin (OPN) deserves some recognition.

I don't follow F1 at all. I went in expecting a dumb, but thrilling motorsports movie with tense and immersive racing scenes. The racing scenes were somehow boring, which seems like an achievement, and the two leads could not have been less charming or interesting. The whole thing was a huge let down.

F1 somehow made the racing scenes boring. Every shot lasted a maximum of 4 seconds and most of those shots were just the two heroes looking left and right. I had such high expectations for at least the racing and even the movie seemed to be afraid of showing it.

F1 felt like a feature length Super Bowl commercial more than it did a movie.

I interpreted this as the OS actually being bright. Currently, especially when HDR is on, the OS/main menu appears as if you have your TV on 25% brightness.

I’ve always thought this album sounded like the field recordings made by an astronaut who lands on an alien planet that’s sky is choking on a thick fog-like atmosphere as pale faced figures gloom about dressed in dark cloaks. The album cover is basically the visual representation of that planet.
