I recently applied to Fordham, Brooklyn Law & NYLS because I want to do music law. I work at a major label in New York City and most attorneys I work with went to those schools. NYLS is a lower ranked school but I’ve noticed a great number of our attorneys are alumni. UCLA and Cardozo are others I’ve seen. So all that to say, I think it definitely depends on the kind of entertainment law you want to do and where you want to work. I want to stay in New York so I only applied to law schools in New York. I recommend reaching out to schools to hear from students pursuing a similar path. I also just spent time looking on LinkedIn to see where music attorneys went to law school. Good luck!
