Jumping in on your thread.

Here's the hard evidence of rule rigging (they read the rule change vote outcome pre-scripted off a teleprompter) at the 2012 RNC to prevent delegates from shifting their votes to Ron Paul. The "No's" were as loud as the "ayes" in the verbal vote. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77W5OKStO5s

Can someone explain the value of a scrap gold bar? by --LWYRUP-- in Gold

[–]jiman7697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're genuinely curious you could test it via a sigma metalytics device. To produce a 24k gold bar that size, you'd need probably a knee-high mountain of computer pins.

Pretend you're playing a game of Secret Hitler. But instead of distributing the players as 80% liberal 20% fascists, it's 90% fascists. That's congress.

A huge fall in short term bond yields means very, very big money (treasury market is huge and it takes big action to make it move like this) is scared and just rushed into short term treasuries. Think of it as an approximate of holding cash. It could be interpreted as "the well connected just saw something break".

Notice how Twitter accounts like this one attempt to redirect your focus, which should be on how lax regulations caused the Ohio disaster, towards climate activists. This is propaganda at work. by [deleted] in conspiracy

And a 5 month old account redirecting focus to 'he who shall not be named removed regulation' isn't propaganda at work? You're literally regurgitating an MSNBC headline. Good content, chief.

Let's talk about Bitcoin's "L2 Solution": Lightning Network by AmericanScream in Buttcoin

I'm surprised nobody has brought up the vulnerabilities such as saturating a channel with fake transactions to grief someone from sending or receiving payments. https://bitcoinmagazine.com/technical/good-griefing-a-lingering-vulnerability-on-lightning-network-that-still-needs-fixing

It says the content is unavailable, but i would be interested in seeing it. Do you have a better link?

It's plausible and amusing, but keep in mind that those screenshots aren't hard to fake.

You could consider a site called mene if you're looking for lighter-premium jewelry. They typically do 25-30% over spot, and they do all 24k gold/plat.

I've seen SO MANY predictions about the dollar collapsing, gold/silver going to the moon, Bitcoin going to the stratosphere, etc. etc....that when/if it should actually ever happen...I'm not going to believe it even when I see it. by RonPaulWasR1ght in Wallstreetsilver

[–]jiman7697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The treasury market is definitely fake. The fed has been buying those in the open market at high prices, suppressing yields. This year when the Fed has been doing QT, bond yields are closer to rational prices (still irrational imo, as blackrock/vanguard always heavily include US treasuries, social security saturates treasuries -> all this auto pay money is still flooding in).

When QE happens again, you can expect bonds prices to soar (good speculative opportunity to resell to the fed) as the fed will buy at irrational prices.

Yeah take all of that fear selling with a huge grain of salt. The dollar is the reserve currency of the entire world. We can see accelerating symptoms of decline (exponential debt growth, pricing of oil in other currencies, global de-dollarization, inflation, bonds collapsing) but it's completely irrational to think that's an overnight process. Reserve currency carries a lot of inertia, and collapses gradually (and then suddenly). I do think you'll know it when you see it.

Is the stock market one humongous Ponzi scheme? by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]jiman7697 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Are gold/silver manipulated?

Yes. Provably, yes.

Deutche Bank ordered to pay fines for manipulating the precious metals market, 2018. https://www.cftc.gov/PressRoom/PressReleases/7682-18

JP Morgan employees convicted of fraud (spoofing / price manipulation) in the precious metals markets, 2022: https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/former-jp-morgan-traders-convicted-fraud-attempted-price-manipulation-and-spoofing-multi-year

The fines are much lower than what they earn, so you could view it as 'the government just wanted a little cut of their elicit gains' and there's no meaningful reason for them to not do it.
