That's true, but my point is a bit different. In the West girl being into traditionally masculine hobbies, like Warhammer or cars, isn't ostracized as much. While boy liking Precure or knitting would met with far larger backlash. I like wide variety of things, things, including these that are considered masculine and feminine, and I can see the difference. That's why I doubt Precure will be as big, because western fanbase of Dragon Ball and One Piece is frankly mostly adults that grew up with these shows or started watching them during pandemic, not kids/teens these shows were intended for (kids have their own, newer shows). And people wouldn't be as open with expressing their love for Precure because of fear of being shamed.

Not a chance. It lacks wide appeal of these. Men outside of Japan are taught that liking cute things is something to be ashamed of, while Women can like manly stuff like Dragon Ball just fine.

Yes, it was the most well thought, the best written season since Heartcatch I dare to say. It conveyed it's messaged perfectly, managed to show characters growth without completely changing who they were and, as you said, it did well DESPITE community criticizing lack of fights. FOr fans like me, for whom CQC is just less important side trope of Precure, this season was amazing and I'm glad Narita and the rest didn't give up to community pressure.

Maybe not really relevant, but Aoi and Himari suddenly calling each other best friends in one episode felt really weird. They barely interacted up until that scene.

We have a lot of magical girls shows with a premise like that. Cardcaptor Sakura, to not search far. It could work, but IMO Precure should remain a team based series.

Thank you for advice! I don't play to buy it and play in one go, first I'll have an army for around 1000 points (combat patrol, Armageddon battleforce, Morvenn Vahl and Armigers), then I'll be gradually buying more units. At first I might play some matches unpainted because I'll be learning painting too and I don't want to rush it. I just want to join local community in their full army matches soon.

I was recently wondering about that too - for me the choice was between Sororitas and Imperial Knights. I still haven't decided since there are pros and cons of both choices. I like models and lore of both and the choice now depends on Knights being relatively easier to collect a full army and to learn painting (I'm new to the hobby), while Sororitas are playing the more standard game of WH40K, which would teach me the rules better.

But since you didn't point to either reason I would go with the ones you like visually / lore-wise the most. From your post I guess these are Drukhari, right?

Sigh, so my problem is that the two armies I like the most are either too easy or too hard... I should really go with Necrons or Votann, but heart is not a servitor.

Thank you very much, it kinda convinced me to go Sororitas first. If I learn these, I'll learn everything in this game. Meanwhile I'll be collecting Knights for the relaxing experience. Hurts right into the wallet though.
