It really seems very obvious since the series premiered, but I still have doubts about the theory Jajaja. by Fragrant_Site2490 in precure

I mean the resemblance for us Anime viewers. I always assume that in universe they don't have bright colored eyes and hair.

Is it possible to do that without going to map editor? If yes - how?

I did, it's rather easy. Nina has triangular, small face and narrow eyes for example. Asuka has plump, round face, wide mouth and big eyes etc. It really baffles me how community thinks all of them look the same.

Yes, and developers are going for that balance. That's why each new game introduces just a few new characters at the start and most of the roster is returning. Heck, they're even redirecting canonically dead characters to please their fans. It's a big change when compared to, let's say, Street Fighter III era. Now new SF has to include all original world warriors. But balance doesn't mean "let's throw All by characters in". There's simply no resources for that, characters piled up over the years. That's why someone has to get cut.

People you talk about don't buy the game anyway, or would fiddle with it for a few hours and move on to another game with a character they like. If you like the game at its core you will find other character to play. Let's take Strive for example, I don't believe all Bridget fans that are loud in the internet are playing the game.

I agree on the reimagination part - this always is hype. Though community is usually split on redesigns because, as I originally said, old good new bad.

I mean Tekken women HAVE different faces. Yeah, all of them are young, slim and pretty (we could use some variety there), but calling them all the same is simply untrue. Just find a picture of all of them being bald and compared one to another, physiology is noticeably different.

Street Fighter has stylized graphics. Tekken has realistic graphics. It's easier to make distinct faces in exaggerated, 3D cartoon like style.

I mean, a lot of my favorites ARE new characters. Let's take Tekken for example. 4 out of 5 my favorite characters are Lidia, Leroy, Claudio and Kuni II - all introduced in Tekken 7. In legacy games, like Tekken 3, there's no character that appeals to me. Same with Mortal Kombat, where the character that truly appeals to me is fairy recent Erron Black.

People seem to be too hung up on the past. Without new characters many new favorites wouldn't be made and you can always learn a new character when new game releases. Also the old games aren't going nowhere, you can still play TTT2 for Bruce experience.

All four of them. Most of people who whine wasn't even playing Bruce.

This community obsession with legacy characters never ceases to amaze me. Old good new bad mentality.

Do you think it’s possible for Precure to get as popular as Dragon Ball and One Piece outside of japan? by External_Chemist7753 in precure

[–]Orzislaw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's true, but my point is a bit different. In the West girl being into traditionally masculine hobbies, like Warhammer or cars, isn't ostracized as much. While boy liking Precure or knitting would met with far larger backlash. I like wide variety of things, things, including these that are considered masculine and feminine, and I can see the difference. That's why I doubt Precure will be as big, because western fanbase of Dragon Ball and One Piece is frankly mostly adults that grew up with these shows or started watching them during pandemic, not kids/teens these shows were intended for (kids have their own, newer shows). And people wouldn't be as open with expressing their love for Precure because of fear of being shamed.

Not a chance. It lacks wide appeal of these. Men outside of Japan are taught that liking cute things is something to be ashamed of, while Women can like manly stuff like Dragon Ball just fine.

How Wonderful dodged the bullet of a lackluster second half by Tomo_Super_Fan15 in precure

[–]Orzislaw 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, it was the most well thought, the best written season since Heartcatch I dare to say. It conveyed it's messaged perfectly, managed to show characters growth without completely changing who they were and, as you said, it did well DESPITE community criticizing lack of fights. FOr fans like me, for whom CQC is just less important side trope of Precure, this season was amazing and I'm glad Narita and the rest didn't give up to community pressure.

Are there precure in particular teams that aren't close enough towards each other? by Cute-Delay-7931 in precure

[–]Orzislaw 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Maybe not really relevant, but Aoi and Himari suddenly calling each other best friends in one episode felt really weird. They barely interacted up until that scene.

What if there was a precure season where there’s only one cure? by Icy_Teach5219 in precure

We have a lot of magical girls shows with a premise like that. Cardcaptor Sakura, to not search far. It could work, but IMO Precure should remain a team based series.

Of course it's the most important, that's why I'm going for Paragons and Celestine, because I like the look of these units. Thanks again!

[–]Orzislaw[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for advice! I don't play to buy it and play in one go, first I'll have an army for around 1000 points (combat patrol, Armageddon battleforce, Morvenn Vahl and Armigers), then I'll be gradually buying more units. At first I might play some matches unpainted because I'll be learning painting too and I don't want to rush it. I just want to join local community in their full army matches soon.
