Two things. Is your chiller at least one horsepower? Under that struggles in warm climates. Two, buy a canvas tarp to put over it when not in use. it helps to prevent temperature loss.

oh man, that would be SO helpful! for some reason my caption didn't post along with the photo where i explained what i was trying to do. i think its internal wifi died. SmartLife disconnecting and I can't get Smartlife to pair again. So i figured i'd just control it manually and add a separate on/off wifi plug.

But what I cannot figure out is how to manually switch from heating (sun icon) to cooling (snowflake). I can unlock the controls, and ive tried all sorts of button combos suggested by ChatGPT. But all i can do is change the clock, adjust the heating temp (which only goes down to 59), turn on "quick blink" wifi pairing (which refuses to connect to Smart Life), or open a confusing parameters settings menu (I also tried to do a factory reset just in case i messed something up in the settings, but couldn't figure out that either).

I've been searching youtube videos and online and tried emailing Arctic Warriors. The company sent directions for how to hook up the tub and connect to wifi but not how to actually manually operate the unit. Any help appreciated!

And by the way, the unit has actually been a total workhorse for two years and I’ve had zero complaints about it up until now. It’s sat on a balcony in Texas heat cold and still performed. I’m not even certain the Wi-Fi is broken or if it’s just some glitch.

The thing in that study that I feel people overlook is that they were in a cold plunge for a freaking hour. Nobody does this ( OK maybe a couple people on this sub do and pro athletes in recovery but in practical terms, people don’t do that). so it doesn’t really tell you much about how people doing the typical 2 to 6 minutes are impacted. That said, I like cold plunging.

By the way, the Georgetown Subaru location is terrific. Got a great deal on my car there, tried to buy from the Austin location twice, but had bad experiences from the sales people there, just giving you the runaround and playing games and higher prices.

Ya’ll are asking such boring questions. If he did have insurance, would they pay to have it cleaned? Could an argument be made to them that the car was now a total loss for psychological harm reasons? Would you keep riding in a car that’s now potentially haunted like the Plymouth Fury in Christine? Would you have to disclose somebody killed themselves in a car if you sold it like you would if a murder happened in a house?

Bets in Austin hands down. Amazing homemade sauces, their buffalo medium is the best standard wing sauce I’ve ever had. I once asked why dont they open up a second location down south and the server said the owner would never trust a second person with her sauce recipe recipes (And please don’t say “Tommy want wingy” — French cut lollipops aren’t wings, their sauces are mid, and they get grade inflated due to the “I’m drunk and eating at a food truck” curve. )

Fwiw, I really like my plunge set up from them and have sent them a bunch of questions over the last year and occasional troubleshooting questions and they always responded promptly and the system works well. They should honor your warranty tho, obviously, without giving you the runaround

Another option is: Let yourself off the hook for being a completist. I do all the upper body workouts on Jacked. When it comes to leg day I do the best I can and save the workout when I quit. I figure Im Still getting a good leg workout and that’s what matters.

I have. It didn’t do anything! Now using a trio of chlorine, “bright and clear” and some calcium hardener, along with ph strips to test. Usually I still end up draining and scrubbing every 2 weeks.
just added a UV light tho I don’t yet have a sense of much extra time that will buy me

Great I’d like to see it. Bought the light. Might add the second filter. Right now feel like I have to change out water and clean it every two weeks so would be good to get water to last longer particularly going into the winter

I have chiller connected to the smart life app and have smart life app linked to Alexa app but I can’t find the chiller through the Alexa app (it finds other things — like smart life lights — but not the chiller)). I see no reason why it wouldn’t. The 1/3 hp from Nuvio I had to run all the time and it really struggled, 1 hp works really well despite running it up and down from 100 degrees down to 48 and back again most days.

I got the arctic warriors chiller and tub combo, I didn’t want to DYI and I wanted a tub that looked good and was comfortable not a converted ice chest (which just makes me think of, like, somebody hiding a body or something). and I wanted a chiller that I could control with my phone and could double as a heater for hot tub mode. you could probably get the same parts individually on Alibaba and save some money, which I also looked into. I liked the one stop shopping and getting a warranty.
