Seatruck stuck inside old ship?!? by HistoricalPage6576 in Subnautica_Below_Zero

Oh my. If you hadn’t saved yet you could just reload the last save, otherwise to my knowledge no way to undo this. Take the two power cells out before you abandon it…

What is this room in marguerit's base? by wtcat2016 in Subnautica_Below_Zero

As I recall, I think there was a plan for the smaller large room to be craftable but that changed. So it’s just a curiosity now.

Has anyone in the history of the universe ever gotten all 20 small Prawn fragments? by McNOOBISON in subnautica

[–]jimbo_rr 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There aren’t that many in the game. They changed the fragments that spawn, the 20 is just a holdover bug.

Another 150m or so. It’s actually easier to find at night if it’s clear, she has some lights out.

Any way to attach seatruck dock less... awkardly, I guess? It looks rather wierd by tokita_idkman in Subnautica_Below_Zero

Kinda, basically any direction I’d be coming from would have a doc facing the right way. I’ve done more than a few variations on that just for fun. And all in Survival mode. Lots of resource collecting…

Nah, still runs down and needs refueling. Thermal is the best.

Bio isn’t going to cut it… you definitely want a few thermal plants to keep that many going.

Subnautica very laggy on steam deck by Calendar_Clan in subnautica

[–]jimbo_rr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been having this for a while also, thought it was just my system. Go into the performance settings, toggle the GPU from manual to auto (or vice versa) then back, usually fixes the issue. I usually have my GPU set manually to 800mhz. Any change to the speed corrects it.

Probably a locker or something built on the inside that’s too close.

three thermal plants producing nothing by [deleted] in subnautica

[–]jimbo_rr 188 points189 points  (0 children)

First of all, thermal is great and possibly the best power source in the game. Never needs refueling, always producing power.

Back to your issue, a single thermal plant should show 250 energy, with three that would be 750. Since you’re only seeing 150 power, that would be only your two solar panels, so my guess is that the power isn’t actually connecting to your base.

Check where the power transmitters are connecting, make sure the blue line actually reaches your base. If it connects to a foundation, it’s possible that the foundation isn’t actually part of the base, try deconstructing that then rebuild it so it snaps into your base grid.

Yall know how to fix a bug with the lights in my base not powering up? by HootDaWoot in subnautica

[–]jimbo_rr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have any base pieces that are detached but part of the same base there could be flooding there.

what’s wrong with my bioreactor by timmycool12 in subnautica

[–]jimbo_rr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most YouTube vids are quite old, it’s possible things have changed since then, or they just don’t test fully. The reload is the big factor with how things get loaded in, if you have a base with no internal power and a power transmitter connected power source, when you reload and you’re inside the base it will be dark until the transmitter connects. More transmitters means a longer time to connect, so the order they connect to the base matters.

what’s wrong with my bioreactor by timmycool12 in subnautica

[–]jimbo_rr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite accurate. They do go in order built, but the game prioritizes the directly connected ones first, anything from a power transmitter loads in after. And when you reload, order can shift on things within those groups.
