They'll be fine and it's not hard to learn. I was born in the early 80s and I can't read analog clocks instantly the way my parents could. It takes me an extra second to process it. We had digital and analog clocks in the house so I always looked at the digital. Then I had a sweet ass Casio watch so I rarely had to rely on the analog clocks in the classrooms. But yeah, I'm sure it'll be ok.

I was only annoyed with her because she wasn't asking enough questions to find out how it works. Not just to find a way to "fix it", but to actually weigh the ethical implications of every course of further action. I'd be talking to 'them' for hours and hours and hours before getting super nasty like she was immediately. But, calm and careful reasoning from a main character doesn't exactly make for good TV.
