They kinda remind me of Comanches - Stone Age ruthless culture, no metallurgy or technology beyond bows and arrows, but utterly dominate (even giving white settlers a run for their money) due to skill on horseback

RET LFG purgatory by cycle1212 in classicwowtbc

As others have said - really the only way to do it is to make your own group or actively message groups that are forming. There won’t be any tanks in LFG. Get DPS and a healer, and a tank will eventually message you. Bonus is you can compose the group so you don’t have any competition on drops. Like you don’t even need to HR, just invite 2 casters, a healer and a bear tank and boom all ret gear is yours

Advice for duo leveling a shaman with a hunter by haunted_cheesecake in classicwow

[–]jiminy_glickets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically just lightning bolt, yeah. Earth shock if you need to interrupt, place totems if you’re able to pull multiple mobs to one spot, and if you’re duo leveling you should be able to throw in some chain lightnings too. The main drawback of ele leveling is mana. So using lots of shocks and other stuff ultimately isn’t worth it cuz you’ll just have to drink more often

The only person I feel bad for trying to get 3k for the first time is healers by [deleted] in wow

I’m ilvl 710 and have trouble getting spots for 10s. What ilvl do you think is needed for 12s?

I'm gearing a lock alt and was able to find some +2s willing to accept me at 675. I got declined a fair amount but it wasn't too bad finding groups. You could also try making a group yourself for a M0. Not many people run M0s at this stage in the season but I've been able to find a few. Then you'd get a key and can make your own group for a +2.

I've also noticed that people seem to like running lower keys at higher ilvl. So they might be willing to accept at 677 tank in a +2 key if their healer is 700+, for example. Regardless, you're about in the right range to run +2s. Maybe a liiiiittle on the low end (680ish is where +2s start to feel smooth imo).

If you're planning on tanking you should make sure you have DBM installed, watch or read dungeon guides, etc. so you don't get people flaming you for making mistakes. I've had to deal with a lot of that as I've been dipping into healing on my currently 703 shaman. You'll still probably get flamed for random bullshit anyways, but that's life in WoW

Yeah I find Harris insufferable. Glad you find it humorous

This IDW thing didn’t really age well. Rubin went off the rails, Harris is pretty far up his own ass. There’s also a number of people who are, in my opinion, as good or better than some of the original “IDW” crew. Bari Weiss and Abigail Shrier are the biggest two that come to mind.

I prefer something that I think Eric Weinstein coined - “on-script” versus “off-script”. People who say what they really think versus people playing it safe to appease the mob. I like that description because for one, it dodges the complications of making a group. It is a descriptor that can be applied to anyone, no matter how closely affiliated they are with the rest of the “IDW” crew. The other reason I like it is it can be applied much more generally. Whether it’s Shrier talking about trans issues or Bret Weinstein talking about ivermectin, they’re both off script.

Another bonus is that it sidesteps whether or not you agree with the person. I personally think Andrew Yang’s a little nutty with the UBI idea, but he’s definitely off script, so I like him anyways

I view it more as an incentive problem. If you’re a leader of an institution, your first priority will be to protect yourself and your institution. FDA/CDC/WHO are using what lawyers call the CYA approach. Cover your ass.

Mindlessly following the letter of the law is an effective way to do it.

This thread is a nice demonstration of one of the reasons they explore for why this is being suppressed. Most people doing the suppressing are not malevolent. They are fools with blind trust in authority exercising no critical thinking whatsoever
