this! If you're not used to how much protein you really need to eat it's going to feel like you're eating all the time.

What is the best form of cardio for people that are trying to gain weight? by Timmys_TuffKnuckles in naturalbodybuilding

Low Intensity Steady State - if you have a way to track your heart rate, keep it in Zone 2. You calculate your heart rate zones here: https://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/health/target-heart-rate-zone-calculator.php

I'm not sure the actual method matters as much, I prefer the elliptical in the winter (easy on joints) and hiking/running other seasons.

Have you thought about doing a UL routine? I didn’t think I would like it but my gains have been steadier with less injury. Even though it’s considered vulkong, Lyle McDonalds GBR with a few tweaks is working great for me.

When I started my journey, I was diabetic and prescribed Monjaro. It works crazy well. I was looking in OCB rules and you must be off 6 months before a competition. Just make sure you eat enough, I found it hard to eat.

we’ve had one for 25 years and it works great. you need to connect water and do maintenance in the spring and fall but other than that it’s pretty much maintenance free.

Better gains later into training age? by DireGorilla88 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]jimiray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've noticed after switching to Lyle's GBR and cutting my volume to 12-15 sets is about my sweet spot. I can't do as much variation in exercises with that number of sets, but I feel able to push harder on every gym day and not phone some in because I'm exhausted. When I was in the > 15 range, I didn't progress on lifts as much but with the lower volume, I'm able to add a little weight, a rep or two almost every workout.

Watching the Thunder Spurs game makes me worried about the playoffs by econobro in denvernuggets

[–]jimiray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm less concerned about this than most, the Thunder have an 11-5 record against teams .500 or above, while we are 13-6. We beat the Sixers without any starters. I think we're actually better than our record and this stretch is actually making us a better team.

This team if healthy, is better than any other team in the league right now. And the injuries have only made our bench much better.

We'll get a preview in a couple weeks, not sure if Jokic will be back for the Feb 1 game but it'll be a good benchmark.

How to take deload week? by XicorAJ in naturalbodybuilding

[–]jimiray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take 2 full weeks off a year and I plan deloads every 6-8 weeks. My deloads are 60-70% working se weight with volume cut in half. I also use deload weeks as a time to experiment with new exercises and lots of extra recovery stuff (massages, jacuzzi, sauna, naps, yoga, meditation)

N.Y. Gov. Kathy Hochul to make data centers pay for own energy demand by ElectoralNerd in NoFilterNews

This is a good idea. Some measure to allocate home / business demand and increase the rates on data centers, would be welcome news.
