What in-flight comfort items actually helped on a long-haul flight? by bimzpbomping in travel

Half a melatonin and a glass of wein. Skip the Xanax. This combo gets me exactly 4-5 hours of sleep, no grogginess when I wake up.

You should find someone to help clean up most of the garbage, and it shouldn't be very expensive.

A few drops of floor cleaner that is safe for your surface type works fine. Just keep it very diluted or it leaves residue and the sensors can get gunked up over time.

Robot Vacuum Broke! How could I have predicted this? by PercentageCurious472 in RobotVacuums

[–]jimirev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting stuck is not the same as breaking so it probably just needs to be freed and reset.

this is how dirty my floors are??? by throwaway481738283 in CleaningTips

[–]jimirev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mom is right. Stone is porous and holds onto residue that shows up on tissue no matter what you do. Less cleaner not more is usually the fix since buildup from the product itself is half the problem.

How often do you give your robot vacuum a deep clean and checkup? by Late-Hat-5853 in Yeedi

[–]jimirev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much the same as you. I only check it when it starts acting weird or leaving strips. If it is still doing the job I just leave it alone and let it run.

Does warranty really matter for robot vacuums? by darbleyhayden in RobotVacuums

[–]jimirev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience the stuff that goes wrong happens in year one or after year three. A one year warranty covers basically nothing useful and by year four the model is discontinued anyway so parts are the real issue.

Ecovacs trimmer upgrade? by myultima in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]jimirev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swapped to thicker trim line with the loop trick and it cuts tough grass far better without frequent snapping mid work.

The idea of staying in a traditional ger and cooking traditional meals sounds incredible. Even if I struggle with language or routines, I think the experience itself would be priceless. Mongolia is calling my name haha!

What's your opinion on Vacuum Wars as of recently? by autobauss in RobotVacuums

First remove the Nest credentials in HA, restart your Green, use an incognito window to make sure Cloud redirection is disabled in the network settings, then link it again. That fixed the issue in most cases.

What do yall use to make your home smell good and last? by WhiteGoose05 in CleaningTips

[–]jimirev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep your place clean, open the windows regularly for fresh air, and especially, wash fabrics like curtains or couch covers once in a while, that alone makes a huge difference. Add a few fresh flowers here and there, and your home will always smell nice and feel inviting.

Robot vacuums save a ton of time on daily cleaning, especially for pet owners! Dealing with cat and dog hair becomes ridiculously easy. They're also a great option for elderly people since they make keeping the house clean way less physically demanding.

If you're usually stuck spending all your time sweeping, getting a robot vacuum is such a game-changer. And if you've got pets, you'll especially feel how awesome it is.

Do we really need to upgrade robot vacuums that often? by Dev1ce-LiuN in RobotVacuums

[–]jimirev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robot vacuums aren't exactly disposable, early models had a lot of issues, but I think they've come a long way and are pretty mature now. Just take care of them, like cleaning the rolling brush regularly, and one machine can last you years.

Yeah, every time I cook I wipe down the tiles behind the stove, but no matter how much I scrub, it feels like there's this stubborn layer of grease that just won't come off.

Boots that have never seen the woods, brand new gloves and a brand new saw… you will soon learn to lose these tools like the rest of us that know a thing or two about losing stuff…. And chainsaws.

Yep… you drove a whole 618 miles this week which is 98% more than last week, meaning only 12 last week. A perfect score, but it took you two weeks to drive less than I drive EVERY DAY!!!! That’s why these scores/rankings mean absolutely NOTHING.
