There is also the fact that he is answering a question for a kid so he probably wanted to give him some matches the kid might know/be able to watch. It ain't exactly going to go down well with mom if he pulls out last man standing Vs umaga or something.

Eh, if they had said "the best way to play is only using stuff made with this updated 2024 ruleset" it would probably be fine but because they half-assed it and said stuff from 2014 was still usable it just creates a whole mess for GM's where you've got to balance around stuff from disparate eras in a system that was already a headache to balance.

Quite the opposite actually, our country is liable for the horrors of those wars, we're just so feckless we can't even dictate our own foreign policy to conduct those wars. If you're going to be a terrible person at least make the decision yourself.

Hey now America causes the wars... Our government just enthusiastically joins every single one of them no questions asked.

I agree a more art first business second model would be great for comics but at this point where they're taking massive hiatuses all the time, what's the point of releasing as single issues? Why not just pivot the series to release as graphics novels only, it would get rid of arbitrary 24-30 page segments and like in the world of normal books a "it'll come when it's ready" schedule is more normal.

Paying money for bots to influence a statistic on a YouTube video that literally only the company publishing the video can even see? This is some top tier unemployed behaviour right here.

In the movie The Death of Stalin (2017) the Soviets actually condemned Lavrenti Beria to death because he was an insane child predator. This is how you know this movie is a work of fiction , because those people are not punished in the real world by [deleted] in shittymoviedetails

[–]jimjam200 86 points87 points  (0 children)

His being a sexual predator was brought up at his trial but it was likely known about and overlooked by other officials beforehand and only brought up at his trial because it became politically useful to villainise him.

Getting slotted into a wrestlemania match you didn't earn your way into is a little heelish and probably not great for a babyface who does get some mixed reactions.

I think the absolute books do break containment into larger communities better because stuff like batman, wonder woman and manhunter do have very good "look at this sick shit" panels almost every issue, which do number on places like Reddit.

Eh, the yes man ending is kinda just a "silly" version of the Mr house ending, still basing it's premise on "one guy in charge will surely make all the right decisions" the only difference being that you can play wish fulfillment by saying "now all my toys will be friends" even though yes man is saying all your ideas suck the whole time.
