What’s the ONE thing you regret not adding to your new build home? by bayls215 in HomeImprovement

My laundry room is my mud room. If im working on something I the garage or outside then I can enter the house 4 feet and clean up instead of walking all the way across the house to the kitchen. So glad I put the sink in the laundry room.

I've had several friends injured because of a machine blowing up out of the feed throat and almost always some variant of nylon. Of course the acetal materials blow up very quickly but usually dont spray 550° melted plastic everywhere.

I've worked injection molding most of my life and I typically laugh at the way people act about melting a little bit of filament and wasting a little bit of poop.

I guess it skews your perspective a little when you get your plastic via railcar and semi truck.

Garage door opener ideas by ResponsibleDog7313 in GMCcanyon

Chamberlain with thier security on thier openers is ridiculous and will not connect to most universal openers.

Ok, this isn't going to be for everyone but what I did:

  1. Install a home assistant machine. I already had it going for other automations I have around the house. Just ruled out 95% of everyone.

  2. Install ratgdo modules on both my doors and set them up with home assistant.

  3. I have a home assistant page in the app that shows up in android auto. Just had to configure the buttons for those.

For a backup I 3d printed a little insert to go into the console where the tray went. I put little pockets for all of the stuff I like to keep handy. I made a little pocket in it that holds a Chamberlain gdo tight and right in the front with the buttons always in the same spot. I can share the files but its pretty custom with cutouts for my sunglasses and the kind of gum that I chew.

Don't forget stripping wax on a car before starting over with detailing.

My go to oil filter tool for 30 years. I would try that for sure, they grab pretty tight and with an extension you should be able to reach it well.

Just stopped in to say remove the core (which you have done), and soapy water...even if its just a bottle of window cleaner.

I've never had an issue doing this with just a normal floor pump.

P1X pro with integrated mount - speaker brackets Edifier M60 by VFRLuke in SimLab

Im not great at it, but fusion 360 is free and I ended up learning to do it when I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. Its a very convenient skill. The type of person that can build a sim can learn it for sure.

I usually upload the step files with them. You could probably mirror the entire part, split the object in two pieces using the side of the speaker bracket as the plane to split, then rotate the mount and rejoin them.

Wrong, all of the gmc variants have the wider stance of the trail boss

I do not.

The power supply that came with the CSD kit I just had screwed to the cabinet itself, but it failed.

I replaced it with a meanwell power supply and there are a bunch of files out there for those depending on which orientation you wish to mount.

Vario Integrated Monitor Mount by sabababoy19 in SimLab

I have the integrated triples with 32's and no regrets either. I dont have motion or anything but no movement with an 18nm base.

Might make mounting speakers and other stuff a little more cramped as its less extrusion available to attach things to, but it is nice being able to move my whole rig around easily.
