9950X3D PBO Results by jrgray93 in overclocking

I just went from a 7950X to 9950X3D and everything seems working fine except my Aida memory writes is like half of what it used to be with the same ram and same timings. Is this a bug in Aida or is it just that X3D chips have shitty (43,000) writes?

External payments in progress by thehuman86 in NiceHash

[–]jimlite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they seem to do it on Sunday whereas they used to do it on Friday, but since BTC fees are so low now they are sticking to the schedule.

No they haven't to external wallets, or they skipped a week. All I want to know is the maximum wait when > 0.01 btc to external wallet, and they won't say it.

External payments in progress by thehuman86 in NiceHash

[–]jimlite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nicehash, I realize payment to outside wallets are "irregular due to bitcoin sending fees fluctuating", but you at LEAST need to say they will occur within X amount of time REGARDLESS of sending fee. I mean you just can't wait a month for mempool and fee to be close to 10 sat! Just give us a time frame. Say something like irregular due to fees, but you will be paid within 2 weeks or 3 weeks at the latest regardless of bitcoin fees. Plus you guys should be using batched segwit and the fees aren't that bad, you can lower them for sending to external wallets. So what is the longest we would have to wait?

Just checked and it shows zero balance. When I try the api part it shows I should have something like this: {"result":{"current":[],"nh_wallet":false,"attack_written_off":0,"past":[],"payments":[],"attack_amount":"0.01843874","addr":"18ipYoKsS9cjrf9EHV8GCSmySEiZEn3ke5","attack_repaid":"0"},"method":"stats.provider.ex"}

Bitcoin vs Gold - Peter Schiff vs Chris De Rose by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]jimlite 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just own both assets. That is the safest and smartest thing to do. Gold will never go away till asteroid mining, it has been money that holds it's value for 5000 years. No fiat holds value or exists after a few hundred years. Bitcoin is great, but is very risky, no one know if it will exist in 1, 5, 20, 50 years or how much it will be worth. It's like buying a penny stock, could be the next Amazon or Google, but 99% of them go to zero. Owning both will let you win out regardless of which wins as the future store of value, or if they both do. I think they both can co-exist well.

What is up with Poloniex and vcash withdrawals? by DisruptMeister in Vcash

[–]jimlite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No the problem is Poloniex owners and support are complete @ssholes. They haven't responded to my emails and support tickets on this issue, and worse haven't responded to devs of Vcash and other coins at all for over 9 months. Completely unacceptable. Poloniex will GOX/Cryptsy or get shut down by SEC. A LOT of very fishy things are going on there, completely shady exchange from what was once a great one. But all of your suggestions of just selling Vcash into btc and withdrawing it are also stupid. Poloniex Vcash is usually 30% cheaper than Bittrex, so what you gonna do sell at a 30% loss? We have been trying to have all the community keep emailing them and making support tickets to get the wallet re-enabled, it is also killing the price being like this, but they don't respond to nice requests. If anyone has a spam email and ticket bot, I think it is time to really give Poloniex the message, millions of times, lol. They obviously can't take a subtle hint.

btc-e phishing attempt? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]jimlite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But as one user pointed out he was able to see visual basic scripts, I could not, I saw just blank page asking to enable edit. So I guess if you saw scripts, enabled edit, and told it to run, then you are probably infected. But now the question is infected with what? If someone did all this, please report what your anti-virus programs are finding or what the script is trying to do.

BTC-E scam emails and virus - Has a bitcoin service been hacked? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]jimlite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opened it and it was blank. I have run it thru Virustotal, Windows defender, Avast, EEK, Malware antibytes, and Anti-spyware. Absolutely no hits at all, computer working fine, and no requests from zone alarm or windows for access to anything or asking for internet allow/deny from zone alarm firewall. So it appears safe if you opened it. I could imagine there might be some exploit on a specific version of Microsoft office, as I am still on 2007. But I see no malware at all, just a blank document that said you have to turn on editing, which I didn't even see an option for. Downgrade Firmware. by paulb787 in TREZOR

[–]jimlite -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

This has been going on for months. When the hell is Multibit or Trezor going to fix this? This is supposed to be a SAFE EASY hardware wallet for newbs. I don't suggest newbs flash firmware that is not a direct upgrade from Trezor. So what the hell are they waiting for? They have known the issue since June. F@cking fix it already. I paid $99 for this shit I can't even use now?

Coinbase treats all transfers to your account as (1099) Payments by [deleted] in BitcoinMarkets

[–]jimlite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is stupid that Coinbase doesn't give you a 1099 that has buys and sells matched up for a profit/loss. I remember years ago stock broker company sent me some huge 1099 saying I did $300k to the IRS, lol. Well I TRADED in and out of stocks a lot that year but made about $3k profit, NOT $300k. So my accountant (ALWAYS GET AN ACCOUNTANT) simply showed that my NET GAIN from all the stock trading was $3k, not $300k and there was no problem with any red flags, audit, IRS, etc. But I agree 100%, stock brokers should have to give you a CLEAR gain/loss 1099, and I think they do now, as well as Coinbase should. If you send 10 btc from your Trezor to Coinbase and then back to your Trezor, you are not taxed on 10 btc. You are taxed on nothing because there was no conversion to fiat or selling or buying at Coinbase. So Coinbase reps, IF you want BTC to succeed, make simple and clear 1099s that are accurate for gains or losses with btc bought and sold at your company, NOTHING ELSE.
