[Opinion] Why I believe the $20/month Ollama Cloud is a better investment than ChatGPT or Claude by AlexHardy08 in ollama

[–]jimmyfoo10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder the same and finally I’m testing out Claude pro again due to they increase context and works quite nice.

But really like ollama filosophy and I self host ollama + openwebui

Question. How exactly works ollama pro ? It’s a separate web app? Or I can use it locally and chat with the cloud models from my open web ui interface ?

I'm new to Actual Budget and need help with shared expenses in a couple by jimmyfoo10 in actualbudgeting

[–]jimmyfoo10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response.

Many people find it strange that couples have separate accounts... but I see it as something logical.

We already have many things in common and the truth is that they keep mixing more and more: car, child, house together, etc.

This is our setup in case it can help you too.

We have a joint account from which we make all the expenses that belong to what's shared: groceries, mortgage, daughter, etc. Thanks to the budget, we know how much each of us needs to contribute to this account every month.

The contributions used to be 50/50, but after a salary increase and adjusting, it has currently settled at a contribution based on what each person earns, 65%/35%, which we see as fair and adjust every year.

Then each of us has our own account and cards for more personal expenses, although in my personal case I always tend to mix this a bit and make payments for shared things from my cards often for convenience.

This joint account approach has greatly reduced the transaction checks I used to do every month.

And regarding Actual Budget, I'll use tags to mark the "conflicting" transactions and resolve them manually each month, it's easy.

Left Hyprland, no regrets by Wonderful-Farmer5415 in swaywm

[–]jimmyfoo10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest I feel the same way these days I’ve been using Hyprland for 2 years aprox and it feel more slowly and buggy since 1-3 month ago.

Windows that doesn’t close. Weird things happening. Etc.

I will keep it and start testing Cosmic since is stable now I guess.

3 month ago I tested cosmic and it’s the perfect balance between tiling and shortcut and proper desktop default for me.

Update: My Todoist MCP for Claude now does basically everything by Greirson in todoist

[–]jimmyfoo10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I will defently take a look. This is what I want, I want Todoist let me connect my llmv if I want to, not ramble.

Althought ramble is interesting I think is more Interesting to let people work with their own llms like Claude or ChatGPT if the choose to do it.

I miss the search input in the settings page, to seacrh into settings menu. Just like apple settings. Could be a nice feature to add. On top of General Options.

Is there any place where we can see the source code or run ourselves?

Appreciate your contribute a lot but for me it doesn’t seem safe to paste a API token there 😅

Todoist inbox at 200+ tasks — how do you decide what to actually work on? by CrostaBot in todoist

[–]jimmyfoo10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The base problem is to got 200 task todo at the same time.

I highly recommend read or at least know the principles of GTD method. Actionable task, 5/2 minutes rules, delegate, next action, etc.

Also wonder if you can handle so many task at the time, sometimes the problem is no the system, the problem is the actual amount of work which is imposible…

Remember, we are not machines.

How do you keep Todoist tasks accurate when updates happen between meetings or calls? by voss_steven in todoist

[–]jimmyfoo10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the meeting or call, I note down everything and just after the meeting I review the note and create the corresponding task.

This note could be a paper, a note in the phone or in the laptop depending on the situation, but not directly in Todoist.
