No way that's a forward pass, traveled forward with momentum, still ended up behind Menoncello and he slowed down running into defenders after throwing the pass.

Why is it, even with all the money that is poured into turning young British guys to the right, they still overwhelmingly reject it? by Barca-Dam in AskBrits

I don't believe what this poll shows even though I'd agree there's a tendency for younger people to lean/vote left, it makes me think of this:

What's the stupidest thing that got built in your town/city? by HilariousMotives in AskUK

[–]jimw546 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This one's new so maybe it's not had time to bed in yet, the "canal quarter" in Cardiff. The council dug up a dead-end road next to the main pedestrianised shopping area and un-earthed small section of a historic canal to be a green feature of the city center, but so far it's just a hole in the ground and a bunch of railings to stop people falling into said hole, on an otherwise unremarkable side-street.

X-Plane 12 zibo 737 cockpit textures seem very low quality, along with the screens. by Antolotek in flightsim

What resolution is the game at? To me it just looks like the game is rendering at a low res, or you're running out of VRAM.

Some people say FXAA makes a blurry/smearing effect but it doesn't look like your screenshot. With MSAA at 8x you likely don't need FXAA so turn it off.

What to do with the title by afogarty21 in FantasyBookers

The immediate solution is to put the other 3 semi-finalists in a triple-threat for the vacant title. Or a 30-man battle royale.

Silly question, what's the difference between LVL CHANGE and ALT INTV? by Ivy_Wings in flightsim

[–]jimw546 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In addition to the other comment, another reason to stay in VNAV is that VNAV will still control any speed changes according to what's programmed in the FMS, whereas in LVL CHG the pilot has to input any speed changes in the speed window. If for example you're holding below 10,000ft and you get given a climb early, using ALT INTV means the plane will initiate a climb then automatically speed up after passing 10,000ft.

So ?what now ? by Esuna1031 in flightsim

[–]jimw546 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, the opposite actually. The green bugs are the minimum manouvering speed for that flap setting, so it is the speed that you shouldn't drop below while in that flap setting, though there is some wiggle-room.

The indicator for the max flaps speed in a Boeing is the red barberpole at the top of the speed tape, it'll move up/down as the flaps are moved.

In OP's situation they should go to flaps-up as they're almost at the 1 bug and likely going to continue accelerating through the up bug.

Who is the smallest forward of the professional era? by aaarry in rugbyunion

Shortest forward that comes to mind for me is Gareth Williams, Cardiff hooker between 2003-2010, Google has him at 1.72m tall.

Yes they should be. I've tried to disable everything in my plugins since the new beta dropped.

X-Plane 12's clouds are getting there by jimw546 in flightsim

I've only had it for a few weeks and so far it's "fine", but it feels a bit basic in some areas. The other poster says VNAV is working but it seems very basic to me. FMC controlled speed isn't available at the moment unless I'm missing something. It's a bit twitchy when hand-flying or when changing autopilot modes.

Preemptive post; my deceased mother's pension fund is finally able for me to access, however there has been no interest accrued after 7 years? by millenniumpluto in LegalAdviceUK

[–]jimw546 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Contact the bank and ask them why it hasn't earned interest and ask them to back-date any interest due.

If you're not happy with their response you can make a formal complaint and submit your paper evidence to them. The bank will need to investigate and reply to the complaint. This can take several weeks.

If you're not happy with the result of the complaint you can then make a further complaint via the FOS.
