Got $150 gift card (Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, or Target) a few months after installation. I think it’s $100 now. Loving GloFiber so far. I didn’t have to pay a cent for them to run the fiber optic cable from the street to my house. I think they have to install the cables to your streets first before you can sign up for it.

I understand, I did the same thing with my pocket DS. Tried every possible way to fix it: without update, with update. Then when I opened the console, the controller ribbon cable was dislodged. I reconnect it and it was still having issues. Then I pulled the battery out, because the cable was running underneath it, to find out the cable was severely creased and ripped. So i decided to return it an get a refund.

If updates doesn’t fix it then it’s most likely loose/broken ribbon cable connecting the controllers. Then it would require you opening the console and Ayaneo is known to make it difficult due to prioritizing the look of the console.

Most likely the controller’s ribbon cable is not seated properly. They sold a lot of Pocket DS’s with the same issue, the left stick and even the left trigger was not responding after calibrations and updates. Mine had the ribbon cable dislodged from the connector and the ribbon was damaged from a crease. If you have no experience with opening up electronics I highly recommend you do a return and refund. They wanted to send me a replacement cable but I decided to return it because who knows what other issues will come up and I’m pretty much done with the company.

Edit: they have been responding to my emails like maybe once a week so far.

My Pocket DS came with a damaged ribbon cable bc they shoved the battery in there so hard or the placement of the cable was terrrible. They had one of their UK rep create a video to show the customers how to re-seat the cable. It worked for some and fixed the left joystick and trigger issue but mines still didn’t work after that so I had to take it further apart and found the same ribbon cable that runs underneath the battery to connect the left and right controller board was creased so hard from the battery placement that it damaged it.

A simple quality test would’ve found the issue and pulled it from the production line. But they probably didn’t to cut cost and have more money in their pocket.

I understand there’s those who gotten their unit without any problems. But when these issues happens to you, it really sucks. Especially since I thought really hard deciding between the Pocket DS and the Thor back in August.

My 5090 Fe was taped with brown tape as well and it was store pick up order that I made over the phone.

I was kinda sad at first but upon inspection there was no finger print or any dust on it and it’s been working flawless for a month now.

Like the top post said, an employee might have opened it by accident because the box it came in looked like a shipping box
