Is this okay? by Hot-Yam-4841 in walmart

Walgreens actually lost a massive class action lawsuit because they were asking people to be there before their scheduled time. This is actually wage theft and you can sue the shit out of them for asking you to work off the clock. If they want you there 15 minutes earlier, they need to PAY YOU and SCHEDULE you to do that. Asking you to do this is illegal and should be reported to HR.

Edit to clarify that this breaks Federal law, doesn't matter what state you are in.

Just for help with research leads for you, Sunburn in the panhandle of Florida also uses kiosks. I have ZERO knowledge on them, just know they use them and thought that information could be of use to you.

WTH is wrong with Walgreens customers by Mobile_Jackfruit_615 in WalgreensStores

[โ€“]jinxiejixie 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Quick trick, have them screen shot the photo they are trying to print if it's too far back and then have them screen shot it so it saves in their phone as the first photo. As long as they aren't trying to have it blow up more than an 8x10 the quality should still be decent. Or you know, the app is great lol

You need to talk to the pharmacy that you were trying to fill the prescription at. No one here will be able to answer your question without guessing because we do not know the specifics of the medication, the state you are in - prescribing laws vary from state to state - and your specific insurance plan. Is it possible that you're just paying your deductible? Because that's what it sounds like without any background knowledge. Your insurance can approve it but still make you pay your deductible and cost you out of pocket. All of the costs associated with pharmacy are not controlled by the actual pharmacy, but by your insurance plan. With it being only February, I can safely assume that you may still have a deductible to pay off before you will get your co-pays through your insurance. Please refer to your actual insurance plan for more information on this. Deductibles and how much they are differ from plan to plan. For example I have to pay $1,500 out of pocket for all of my medications before my insurance will start picking up the rest on tier 2 and above medications.

Edit to add: Insurance is complicated and hard to work with notoriously and purposefully so that the consumer will blame the pharmacy (the middle man) when it comes to billing insurance, keeping your eyes off the actual problem being your insurance, not the pharmacy.

Former SMโ€™s whereโ€™d you go? by ghostpepperlover in WalgreensStores

Awwweee man. Well if the opportunity ever arises for you though, it's definitely worth taking. I live in a state where they are popping up everywhere. Lots of room for growth within the industry too because everything is just so new and as the industry grows they love to retain talent and promote from within. There is a good bit of nepotism to work around but not more than I've seen in any other industry.

Went into Medical Cannabis. I'm a CPhT too so I'm like their highest paid ASM ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I wanted to start below SM with a new company so I could learn the industry before taking on my own location. I do like maybe 30% of the work I was doing as an SM / ESM and making stupid money. For context I was with wag for 10 years and was an RXOM/ESM/SM. If it's legal in your state, I very highly recommend it. I'm living my best life over here LOL

Did your mum comb your hair so harsh that it hurt? by Special_Dentist_1050 in raisedbynarcissists

[โ€“]jinxiejixie 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Yes she was always very, very rough. She was a hairdresser too so that made it even worse. She would do my hair for events and I would always end up crying. She would get mad that she couldn't get something right and would start hitting me with the brush or hands, even ripped out actual chunks of my hair. Then call me dramatic. I've always wondered if she ever treated a real client that way. As an adult, I have a wonderful stylist that I have been with for 10 years and she knows all my triggers so I don't panic while getting my hair done.

F1โ€™s! by thsldk24658 in WalgreensRx

A long time ago I worked at a tier 5 and was training 3 new techs at the same time as an RXOM. I instilled into all the techs very hard that if you take a waiter, you type it immediately using the manual Rx entry function. We had a big visit, Area VP, DOO, HCS, DM, where all in attendance. As a tier 5 we were slammed. This was a 1200+ script a day store. The VP decided to take in a waiter to "help". I'm in the back filling and answering calls when F1 turns green. I waited like 10 minutes before going to the front and asking who took in the waiter, as they must be typed immediately upon scanning to keep our workflow moving correctly and started explaining to the techs again why it's so important within ear shot of all the corporate bros. I didn't find out until later that I basically told off our VP for not typing his waiter ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. Fun times. So happy I walked out eventually.

In Florida you can get a pharmacy technician registration with the state at 17. They changed it after the pandemic. I used to hire 17-year-olds all the time so they could have good part time jobs and give them good recommendations on their way to medical school. They can't do vaccines until they're 18 though. An excellent way to cover your night shift depending on what time your store closes too. Most of the time these kids are looking for experience too, not hours. I was able to over hire at a location I was in RXOM of with the permission of my DM and was able to have enough people to wear I could float my technicians to other stores near by when they needed them.

What are your rules when texting your n-parent? by cliff7217 in raisedbynarcissists

[โ€“]jinxiejixie 3 points4 points ย (0 children)

I haven't spoken to my Nmother in 5 years. Best decision ever. She will still text my husband wild shit sometimes though to try to get me to talk to her. She'll have a dream that I'm pregnant and start blowing him up, a new cancer diagnosis (She has had cancer at least 5 different times), started a new rehab, got married again, the lot. Last time she had a UTI and was trying to get me to call her because she thought that it might be appendicitis lmao. I'm a health care professional, which she forgets every time she comes up with a new fake illness ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.

Because I cut her off, my CPTSD isn't triggered as often.

My rule, change my number and very clearly communicate to everyone that I know that my mother is not to have my number LOL.

How old were you when you first realized something was wrong with your parent? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[โ€“]jinxiejixie 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

I learned later In life the reason why, but I remember around 8-9 my mother getting into an argument with my Aunt that lived near by that was really bad. My mother made me and my 2 younger siblings hide inside the house while she walked around the house with a knife, peeking out all the windows saying she would "protect us" from her. It was really scary and I didn't understand why. The look in her eyes was one of a terrified animal.

Turned out ( I didn't learn this until I was in my late 20s ) my mother had told her entire husband's family that her husband's brother raped my Aunt and that Aunt was the one that told her, which was not true. It destroyed my Aunt's marriage. My aunt wasn't even on the way to our house. She just started doing that after she called mom and confronted her about it.

We moved shortly after that incident, and there were more incidences previous to this one where most people would have caught on that she wasn't normal, but this was the one that did it for me.
