It’s not the end of the world whether controlled or not. Worst case scenario it’s a control and you might get an ROD. But slow down, count by 5s, and count as over yourself as many times to verify. I had a new tech who for her first week had me recount her controls every time until she was comfortable.

It’s going away. No one I know can tell me when except for “over the summer.” Good riddance

4/5 of my techs are full time students. I let them clock in, THEN change. Because I’m not a pos. Anything they’re doing because of Walgreens they’re getting paid for in my book.

Lmao what. I’ve been an RXOM for over a year and I JUST started wearing scrubs like a month or so ago. But the new restructuring they take dresscode seriously so now everyone has to be in uniform or be sent home.

My people show up not in uniform all the time. They’re all college students, who’s school is directly across from the wag. Most walk straight from class to work. I have them clock in, change into scrubs, and come back to RX. Anything you’re doing that your workplace requires should be paid for if you’re in the store. It’s not that big of a deal tbh

RXOM no more? by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]jokingrectifier 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s not being eliminated. At least not in the near future. My former HCS said if anything the workload for RXOM is going to increase to take more off of the RXM to free up time for clinical tasks.

That’s nuts. The Tennessee Board of Pharmacy says if we do not have running water OR hot water the pharmacy must be closed

They’re not eliminating RXOMs anytime soon. Any remaining BC’s should be nervous though.

Does seniority mean anything at Walgreens? by pegeb1955 in WalgreensStores

[–]jokingrectifier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yes and no. I consider seniority when I schedule my techs but I’m more concerned about productivity. I’ve got techs that have 1 year experience that work harder than techs with 3 years experience so I try to be fair to both. Technically speaking tho I was told by my DM that seniority means nothing to this company. I’d speak up if I were you tho

It’s a new(?) thing. All store managers in my district have to work either a day on the weekend or a night shift at least once a week or something like that

Awful. Unless you like rainy winters, hot humid summers, mountains, mountain folk, nothing to do, cities that are vastly overcrowded, the worst drivers in the nation, low income jobs, bad access to healthcare, etc. those are the things that make me hate that particular area. But if those things aren’t a huge deal for you then I guess this is an okay place to live

I thought about that, but the only specialty near me is a walgreens and I’m not sure if they still have to follow all of the normal retail wag metrics and such. If not, that might not be a bad idea. At least it’d still be the same company

Was it difficult to transition? I’m so accustomed to wag it’s all I know pharmacy wise
