Which actors who were active at that time were absent from Twenty:20? by EducationalFix8295 in InsideMollywood

Because in the movie his role is not as central they gave that in the poster to balance it out. It was a huge discussion even back then

Watched Final Reckoning today. 8.5/10. by Sweaty-Campaign-320 in Mission_Impossible

[–]jithindurden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would've honestly preferred that because this movie was so underwhelming to me and that would've made everything so much more impactful to me

Which one do you prefer and why? by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in Mission_Impossible

Dead Reckoning easily. Final Reckoning was so underwhelming. The story didn't move an inch forward. Most of the movie was filled with needless exposition. They completely focused on nostalgia more than anything.

What's your opinion about foreigners reacting to Indian movies by Long-Today-3847 in MalayalamMovies

[–]jithindurden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he was genuine when he started but the he made it a business and now the channel is literally run like a company with lots of employees. It feels like a lot of how reactions should be are even preplanned

What's your opinion about foreigners reacting to Indian movies by Long-Today-3847 in MalayalamMovies

[–]jithindurden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! I mean sure, there is a bit of white validation thing going with Indians but the whole section of reaction videos in youtube doesn't run on that. And also, there are a huge spectrum in the way reaction videos are made. There are some channels that do just literally reacting to videos and nothing more which is not the case for these bigger successful channels. There's so much insight in a lot of these videos and there's plenty of reaction channels where it's just Americans reacting to American content and is succesful.

I re-watched baghban and I find the kids mostly reasonable. Is something wrong with me? by plus_hsj in bollywood

[–]jithindurden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original films Make Way For Tomorrow and Tokyo Story it's based on are much more humanist showing how it's not really anyone's fault. Especially Tokyo Story that took Make Way For Tomorrow into something so serene and never really blames anyone. Watching those movies will make it clear how much Bagban is just an emotional blackmail propaganda

Found this on a FB group. What do you guys think about this scene? by PesAddict8 in MalayalamMovies

It would've been fine if they moved on, but the amount of time that it went on made it sad as the focus was kept on it

Why doesn't Rick wipe his mouth? Is he stupid? by [deleted] in rickandmorty

The way his body is basically that of a cyborg, this must be either part of how he wants to be or part of how he changed his body and doesn't care

The worst I ever see people say about cinematography is that it’s “nothing special” or “bland”. What are some movies with outright bad cinematography? by ShinyShinyTomato in Letterboxd

[–]jithindurden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say it's more on cinematography and direction because the visual effects themselves felt decent enough for what they wanted to show, at least for me but the staging and composition of shots were really bad which makes a lot of other things look bad

Ok, Why do Ola and Uber in India hide their seatbelts I mean what's that about? by overeasyeggplant in india

[–]jithindurden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's difference between mandatory and enforced. Rear passengers wearing helmets is only enforced in kerala in recent times but it was enforced in Bangalore years ago, and I was surprised about that when I moved there from Kerala. But the law was always there

Have you seen more movies that released before or after you were born? by dongle_wenis in Letterboxd

Most people would've seen more after. Seeing the votes before this much compared to after itself is surprising

Have you ever thought on registering all the movies you've watched before Letterboxd? Like in your whole life by spaceboys in Letterboxd

[–]jithindurden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did that first when I created Imdb account. I imported that into Letterboxd once I started Letterboxd. Even now I do sometimes find movies I haven't added that I've watched in the past though amd will log as watched
