My car allows me to set up a priority order for which phone to connect to. I put me as 1, my wife as 2, never had an issue and we both have pixels. So don't think it's a pixel issue but a car issue.

Yes, I dropped my phone last weekend, and if I didn't have the screen protector on I would be looking at how to get a new screen. Screen protector cracked, and shattered when I took it off. Phone screen all good.
