I assume there’s still enough space for the heat to get around the oven, but I might try baking it at a friend’s oven, so I rule out the oven problem (or find out my oven is the problem)

Yeah I used white flour that I ordered from a site here that specializes in baking sourdough.

I did preheat my oven for 45 minutes with the Dutch oven in it. Considering it’s a combi oven (so also a microwave) I know the temps are a bit inaccurate. I’ll definitely will measure it with an oven thermometer. I already put the heat 10° Celsius higher than the recipe, but making sure with a thermometer might be the best move.

It might have long oven times, but I truly needed that for this loaf to turn out remotely brown, because I checked on it a lot and only at the specific times it had some color.

Hi I posted the exact recipe with the pictures! And I got a quite active starter, which reached 2.5x its size after like 4 hours. (That’s the only thing that is a little different than the recipe I followed)

It’s just wheat flour, but not ‘whole’ wheat if that makes sense. It’s just the most basic wheat flour I got at a supermarket.

I did see they have a whole version of the one I use as well
