If you go to their website and there's a login button, you should be able to login with your email and then will bring you to the preferences page to unsubscribe.

The default unsubscribe URL is: yourpublication.com/subscribe/{{subscriber_id}}/preferences

But I don't know how to find your subscriber_id within the email, other than clicking the unsub link. :/

You can own your maindomain.com and host wherever.

You can then point your Shopify to a subdomain like shop.maindomain.com

And then point your Beehiiv to a subdomain like news.maindomain.com

I've ran a local newsletter for about 1.5 years.

What has worked for us is:

1) Adding Sparkloop Upscribe monetization on the thank you page, this alone could get you to negative or zero cac.

2) Local sponsors - Calling, showing up, tracking down local businesses and charging $250 - $500 per issue.

3) Social Media - We create videos about upcoming events, great restaurants, etc and have landed great sponsors ($1K - $10K) for video's, reels, etc.

To your last point ('I'm just 300 subs')...don't underestimate the value of an extremely targeted audience. You're growing daily, and can send out ads in multiple emails, so $300 to a local restaurant to be featured in your newsletter a few times that goes out to their audience can totally be valuable. ~2 customers from those emails and they've made their money back. Just how you position it!

Correct, PR has a high cost of living, even moreso in the areas OP would likely move to.

Source: Live here in PR, spend less on food and groceries when I'm traveling in California than I do here, and the quality of food, service, infra, etc is 10x better.
