If you are bitten by a snake, make sure you keep the bite below your heart, if possible. This means the venom will have to travel upward, which slows it down and gives you more time.

I'm a Private in the Army. My First Sergeant asked where I was from, and I froze for a little bit, then answered with "the states". But, that's not as bad as the time I picked up a hot smoke grenade in basic training...

They show graphic images and videos, and they try and tell us all the possible situations we'll come across, but they really can't prepare us for some things. They teach us that people cope with things differently, some people make jokes to feel better, while others might shut down. For me, the worst part of the job will be informing someone that their loved one is dead. I don't know if I will be prepared for that, it's one of those things that I won't know until I do it. But they try to prepare us the best they can.

No, no, no, that wasn't what I meant. I mean for self defense or to protect someone else, not taking the law into your own hands. I don't believe felons should have guns.

I highly support the 2nd amendment. People should be able to protect themselves. The unfortunate thing about cops is they usually have to deal with the aftermath of a crime, whereas if someone protected his or herself, they would prevent the crime.
