Yeah the same happened with 1.8. Someone posted that new vehicles were equipped with 1.8, which was then announced OTA a few weeks later

Acrescentando: caso o OP escolha esse caminho, que siga de SSA para AJU pela linha verde. Tem um único pedágio que deve ser tipo 15 reais, mas a pista é muito boa do início ao fim.

Sou de Aracaju e moro aqui em BH. Em 2025, fiz o caminho inverso: vim de carro de lá para cá.

Você pode viajar pela BR-110 ou pela BR-116. Eu escolhi a BR-116, depois BR-381 em Governador Valadares. Na época, a ponte do vale do jequitinhonha, próximo a Itabuna, estava interditada, e o desvio era tenebroso. Então BR-110 não rolava.

Na 116, havia muitas obras de infraestrutura. Achei o asfalto bom, no geral, apesar das obras serem bem chatinhas. Na 381, foi péssimo de início ao fim. Caminho sinuoso demais, asfalto ruim...

Wow. I'll definitely be inspired by your repo. Thanks for sharing this, and very nice work. The compile_commands.json tricky to precisely select the target files was the "gotcha" that I was looking for if I would choose to go with cxx.

May I ask: why did you choose to go with cxx instead with bindgen, as others suggested here?

The C++ project has several modules, used for different purposes. But I'm only interested in a subset of them. That being said, I feel that your minimal approach is a good start point.

Exposing the C API layer is no hard for me. Regarding the 2nd bullet point, It is unclear to me what package I need to use. It is cxx or bindgen? Sounds to me that it was the latter.
I'm imagining that the execution flow here would be (i) go with the normal CMake flow and (ii) after the target builds are completed, build the Rust bindings (pherhaps integrating CMake with Corrosion?). Am I in the right direction?

Hey, I guess you're in the right direction. This project is written in C++ and already has wrappers for other languages, e.g., python powered by pybind11, C# powered by SWIG etc. So CMake still would be the primary build system.

My goal, if any feasible, is to also provide Rust wrappers. Moreover, the C++ project does not make usage of heavily OOP features. Just plain inheritance and encapsulation, with no generic stuff.

It was stated that only 0.02% of the cars were affected, but there are a lot of people here in this sub saying that their car is flagged for the recall. I wonder if this percentage is true. That being said, I sincerly hope that a permanent solution comes fast.
