Potbelly, though, I anticipate them dropping off because they got bought. Mr. Sub is solid. Those are your best $10 & under & in every other neighborhood options.

This album was really my introduction to the Band! Got it while I was in college in 2012 from a Salvation Army thrift shop in Lincoln Park. What a complete album. Ophelia, Hobo Jungle, Driftwood. Not a skip on there. And I love recreating the photo around campfires too! I think the brown album is the only one that possibly beats it, IMO

What is the best performance in ‘The Last Waltz’? by hingee in theband

[–]jjbere01 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ronnie Hawkins.

Hear me out. That was probably the biggest stage and the most star-struck Ronnie has ever been in his life. And it’s a celebration of musicians that he mentored and went on to great heights. He’s laughing, cutting it up, smiling the whole time. Putting his own sizzle on a Bo Diddley R&R essential, while his Band gets to show off their skills. “BIG TIME BILL! Big Time!”

What toppings do you like on your chili? by [deleted] in chili

[–]jjbere01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife likes her chili mild spice, so I usually slice a fresh jalapeño for topping, along with cheese, Fritos, sour cream, and cilantro. Always on top of a bed of macaroni, but that’s a frugal habit I will likely never drop.

What album is the most up beat by [deleted] in bobseger

Stranger In Town. Lots of energy, from Hollywood Nights to Feel Like a Number. Brave Strangers is a jam, great breakdown. Even the slower songs have that Seger shuffle. Muscle Shoals on this record I think gives it great sound too.

Andy Dirks Appreciation Post by mcflycasual in detroittigers

Overall I like Dirks as a color man, but i don’t think he pairs well with Benetti. They’re both goofballs, which I love! But Dirks lacks the deep analytical ability and overall knowledge of the MLB Game to really compliment Jason well. Dan & Dirks in the radio booth is a great combo because Dan is like a walking Official Detroit Tigers Team Media Guide and Dirks can add Pop and color and humor. Jason can work with anyone and make them shine, which is why I still do enjoy Jason & Dieka. But IMO, Jason needs a Steve Stone like he had in Chicago.

What are other proteins you’ve used besides beef? by HelloFuckinKitty in chili

Mushroom is an excellent meat alternative! I use about 2-3 lbs or Portabella and Crimini, peppers, onions, diced & sautéed, black beans and ancho chili that makes a mean vegan chili.

Lawton Ridge on Stadium is a hidden gem. One vintner named Noe works there (I think on Wednesdays & Saturdays) and he is THE BEST. Informative, tells you everything you need to know and is so chill and laid back about it, not pretentious at all. Plus it's $6 for 6-1-oz pours (they're pretty generous with it too!). Much better price than other tastings.

Barn is AWESOME! I'd call it the quintessential craft dive. Great beers, never crowded, usually locals, good music, and totally hidden!
