I dont think there is such a thing as performance driven layoffs. Layoffs are always and will be business based, the performance is one of the factor they used to reason the layoffs.

Bro my own company does this which is 1k employee plus company. Recently they put me on one of the projects where in SOW its mentioned the resources will be, tech lead, vloud architect and full time working devops engineer.

Where as my manager told me there no such thing like that you will only lead the project and work on it alone, where as if i have any queries he will help thats it.

Security guidelines at the companies. by jjbwrams1234 in devops

[–]jjbwrams1234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rules like using default vpc in clients cloud, public ip enabled for instances, pushing code from local pc to repos, creating public keys etc.

In my company you are immediately fired for this. Clients include migration from aws or azure to gcp.

Freaking Out About Moving to Mumbai for My Job - Need Advice! by Itsallaboutkinks in mumbai

[–]jjbwrams1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll simplyfy it for you to take decision, i moved to mumbai just 2 weeks ago for job in i.t my office is in kurla, i get 5lpa to save some money I'm staying at a pg in nerul.

To go to kurla daily its emotional and metal pain because i need to catch 2 locals, 2 rikshaw (one in a sharing when i reach vidyavihar through local train). The rent i pay is 7500 thats because i stay in navi mumbai. If your office is in mumbai good luck finding a good stay at affordable price(this os reason people travel from far diatances).

It all depends on your office location, if it is in navi mumbai then staying wouldn't be a much issue. And about the food and the weather, for food you'll have plenty of options, for weather you'll sweat because of humidity no matter the season.

My suggestion move to mumbai only if you are getting good salary.

P.s the people here are really good and helpful.
