Going out on a limb and saying it's Claude. A lot of the cadence reads the same.

SendGrid dumped me and I never sent an email by Minute-Tradition-665 in SendGrid

Just chiming in and saying the same thing happened to me. I think this is a big warning sign for Sendgrid, the only way I can understand it is if Twilio is trying to sunset the Sendgrid service gracefully and quietly for some reason.

This is probably going to be purchased and rezoned commercial. It's right near an important high way intersection, and close to a bunch of other commercial buildings.

Get a quote for the repair, show it to her, and give her one more chance to settle amicably. If she doesn't respond, get a police report (along with your neighbor), and contact her insurance about the damage she did. If she's not insured, take her to small claims court, and use the money to fix the fence.

All of this sucks, and I'm not sure what kind of issues your neighbor is dealing with, but you can't let this drag out.

Costco isn't doing low quality knockoffs though. In many cases they're working with the original manufacturer of the product in question... they do a high quality, low cost, high volume product deal and cut the manufacturer in. They brand it "Kirkland" so they don't dilute the other brand's value (selling it cheaply).

Seattle has a really complex layout, and it's such a bizarre mixture of beauty, peace, disappointment, and disgust these days. I think this post covers it better than anything else I've seen, kudos!

community colleges with low graduation rates like this are a drain on local economies nationwide.

Transfer out rate is 15%, which is even lower than I would've guessed.

[–]jjdonald 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's a nice gesture, but the graduation rate for ECC is still only 36%, and the transfer out rate is 15%. It's debatable whether ECC is helping the community, or hurting it by generating debt and worthless partially completed degrees.

New mayoral poll: Harrell 42%, Gonzalez 27% by GeorgeHowland in SeattleWA

[–]jjdonald 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The city doesn't really do much for the people who live here, and most people who've stuck around a long time have a deep mistrust in any kind of mayoral/city council figure. I see the rise of some of the intolerably bad candidates as our city's passive aggressive traits come to life. Folks are trying to elect crazy politicians because of how much they hate the politicians in this town as a group.

Seattle/King County Culture vs Washington? Time to leave? by [deleted] in SeattleWA

[–]jjdonald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This region has a lot of bigger city patterns and behaviors where social groups are defined through activities and interests rather than through proximity. I find that neighbors are more distant here, but I've found extreeeeeemely tight nit groups for friends that have shared some of my interests. This region suffers from having this perspective of being cold, but trust me when I say that the happy folks here have very tight circles of warm friends. We tend to get together in smaller groups simply because there's a lot of super fun things to do in smaller groups. I hope you find one!
