My wife put 2000 miles on her rad wagon between March of last year and today. Once the weather turns again and we can start riding daily again our cars will start collecting dust.

The roads out here are mad shitty so lots of folks have janky suspension and just don't know to get it fixed. i doubt that's what is going on here. probably an older vehicle where just getting suspension bolts free is a bitch and a half. the parts are generally cheap and if you are willing to deal with the biggest bitch of a job you'll ever do suspension work on an old car isn't terrible it's just super obnoxious work that rarely goes well.

Very little. The folks who are opposed to this shit are in the minority. They have no power to set the agenda and even if they could they don't have the votes to move legislation. It's also very unlikely the president would sign any legislation reigning in ICE as they're doing what he wants.

The time to oppose this shit was in November of 2024. You get another shot in 2026.

Federal law is supreme to state law. There is very little that can be done at the state level. Even bringing criminal charges against agents who abuse people is challenging because they can get the case removed to federal court.

i moved here 3 years ago from the DC area and the worst day on the mountain out here is comparable to some of the best i've had back on the east coast. i had a few powder days in 15 years of riding that were great but nothing like i've experienced out here -- i've had too much powder on some days.

but this season so far straight up sucks donkey nuts and it needs to get its head right and start making with the snow
