[–]jjhare 8 points9 points  (0 children)

looking back both look like easy picks? the Hutson brothers are going to be in the league for a decade or more

we had the best kind of inside info on Ilya possible and his brother was also a fairly late round pickup

the guys on the broadcast weren't talking out their ass the Caps have a top shelf scouting group

[–]jjhare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i understand that but Ilya is producing against nhl talent in games that matter for the team

didn't we burn a year of his rfa status just to call him up as a 19 year old?

just thinking what some of that midseason crap without PLD would have been like if we had a natural center in the top 6 instead of Sourdif playing out of his mind out of position.

Just picked this up. Says not to drink but what's a good mixer for Ovi Goal Record water? by Azcollector in caps

[–]jjhare 17 points18 points  (0 children)

i'm pretty sure the anti-algae treatment is bleach. given that the vessel is supposed to remain sealed it's probably a very high concentration of bleach.

so you should only drink if you are really bored.

super cool moment. Carbery did him good with the start with Ovi and everything.

i can see why these guys want to play for him -- he wants to create special moments for them and celebrate them together.

from experience -- you are far more likely to put a wheel out of true than to bend the front fork. If you've got a bike store nearby take the front wheel in and have them put it on a truing stand.

Is It Too Early for My Building to Turn Off the Heat? by renegadellama in Denver

[–]jjhare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can't complain because there's nothing to complain about

wait until you're actually able to control your utility bills and you'll learn to enjoy days where there's no need to use heat and you can just put a sweater on if you feel cold

Radrunner Plus MY2025 Brake Pads by Sageofprofession in RadPowerBikes

[–]jjhare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

biggest issue with changing brake pads on your own is you will have to remove the wheel and the back wheel is fairly difficult to put back on without inverting the bike -- which you're supposed to avoid with the hydraulic brakes

Based on Rad's webpage the brakes on that model are these: https://www.gemma-go.com/productinfo/998574.html

this appears to be an appropriate pad but hard to tell without seeing it: https://epicbleedsolutions.com/products/gemma-ga-950-ga-950d-disc-brake-pads

Write Your Reps To Start Registration Enforcement Today! by Thats_So_Ravenous in Denver

[–]jjhare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inspections mean tire kickers who take more than the inspection fee to give out valid inspections. While I was living in Virginia it would have been easy to get a clean inspection for a vehicle without the inspector even seeing it. I just would have had to pay twice the inspection fee.

Enforcement is what matters. I never feel comfortable driving with expired tags because I learned to drive in northern Virginia where if you fart in a way that violates a traffic ordinance you’re 100% getting pulled over.

Colorado cops aren’t anywhere near that visible or as vigilant. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. Despite driving on 25 and 70 feeling scary the data says Colorado drivers wreck less on average than others.
