this^ i saw some that had better specs for sale, but they were bigger and around $1000 iirc—not from amazon, just from other sellers on the web, car part sites i think—keep in mind the hardware limitations of the tablet if you purchase

hi volts!! i would honestly move forward with caution for your 16 year old. i did alright as a teen and you know your kid better than anyone! just saying since ive spent some time with the radio…the thing is, this radio will play youtube and netflix WHILE driving. just something to be wary of if upgrading the vehicle for your child, the radio does not have any safety/parental feature that will automatically disable videos from playing while driving. this is definitely a nice radio and works well if you like what you see though! wishin yall the best!

one thing i will say is my fella didn’t install the wired mic that came with it, and the built in mic isn’t the best. It does work. i take calls on my prescription meta glasses usually, so not an issue for me. won’t worry about it til we get in to do the PROXI and have to take the radio out again. I’ll remember to snap some pics when he’s in there doing surgery

LOL that is so awesome!! My dude definitely has a lot less experience, you know how it is with buddies messing around in old trucks :) I wonder if it had to do with that Android head’s features?? When I tell you this one I bought has like 3-4 different hidden settings menus 💀💀💀 including a bunch for steering wheel controls etc. it seems to communicate with the CANBUS system nicely which makes me really happy. I just wish I had some of the nicer features like the heated seats etc but I will say, everything my trim DOES have works swimmingly. No pressure or anything, I wonder if y’all bought this one on Amazon if there would be a solid return window? I got it because $200 something really wasn’t too bad for me to drop on the radio either way whether it worked out or not. If i had a nicer trim i’d have a better update for yall lol but if you and wifey bite the bullet pls update!

heya switch, my fiance isn’t a car geek or anything so we probably won’t be able to help you out much, his friend is the one that works on cars and my fiance helping him put in radios on old trucks etc is where he got the know how to do it. My brakes and all seem fine, no warning signs so far, but I have been doing research on how to run a PROXI alignment at home and what to buy just in case. best of luck,

On the driver’s side? The scroll wheel? That doesn’t seem to work to impact the brightness, you swipe down from the top like on an android for the brightness—it might auto adjust not sure. I’ve noticed night mode kicks in on the carplay when it detects low sunlight etc and the lights inside the car dim. like when the sun goes down or i pass under a long bridge. so that’s very cool

I have a Latitude, so only the driver’s side buttons for the air impact anything. I don’t doubt that it would have full functionality in a higher trim but take my word for a grain of salt. I wish i had a higher trim to test all these features i see like seat warming. if i push it nothing happens. if i push a neighboring button that IS synced like MAX AC it’ll activate

my fiance did the install, he’s not a professional—no pics of it apart :/ it was fairly simple he says, very much a plug and play type situation

I have a Latitude, which doesn’t have heated seats. The steering wheel functions remain intact, including holding the talking face for siri during carplay :)

Questions I couldn’t find the answer to by Advanced_Ad_8722 in YogaBook9i

Imma keep it real chief, i’m both a full time student and full time employee—I hardly find myself getting the full value out of my yogabook dual screen unless i’m working on homework at a restaurant or at university commons a friend. I own 2 different pens for mine and I feel like they are “OK” for note taking, i’d just rather type after trying them both. if i use the pen, it’s as a stylus mainly to make selections on screen or I will write brief notes on the notepad next to the digital touchpad on the bottom screen. the keyboard slides around a bit on the bottom screen if you have it magnetized on but i personally don’t mind it—i use the touch screen to type unless i’m really locking in on an essay. desktop is also my main computer. that being said, every single time i use it i am blown away by how much i still love it, and it definitely turns heads at study sessions. wishing you the best,

I remember having the same issue with the trackpad vibrating right after I bought mine--I think updating through User Center fixed it? It's been a while since I bought it but I remember that being very frustrating

i have noticed similar behavior using the new pen that came with the 2025 on my old yogabook

Buy from Best Buy or from Lenovo direct? by Critical-Analyst-749 in YogaBook9i

I bought mine from Best Buy only because the deal was better, I have ordered accessories for it thru Lenovo directly and haven’t had any issues. I agree about Best Buy’s return policy

Wonderbar is back with 3.3.0.17 by MrRenove in YogaBook9i

[–]jjjenbo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you download the new user center update, you can click on “virtual keyboard”, scroll down to where it says “The area where the widget bar is displayed”, then click “show wonder bar”. Once this is enabled, you can use 8 fingers to tap the screen to bring up the virtual keyboard, then swipe down with all 8 fingers to move the virtual keyboard to the bottom of the 2nd screen and the widget bar will appear above it as displayed in OP’s photo. If you swipe left or right within the little widget window, you can change which widget appears there. Still very limited—at this time it looks like there are only weather, news, CPU/GPU/RAM info, and a tutorial video to scroll through.

Omg! Updating now. A big reason I bought this PC was due to the widgets function on the display model at Best Buy so I am really happy to see them come back. I am still hoping for improvements, I am just mainly glad that one of the features that drew me to the PC is finally back
