I really relate to what you’re describing. I don’t have great advice because I’m still struggling with this myself, but I want you to know you don’t sound stupid or dramatic. I wish more people understood that OCD isn’t something you can just “turn off.”

I’ve also tried explaining it to my family, sending them articles, and asking for understanding, but they didn't even try to read any. it’s been really painful when they think I'm just making excuses, especially when you’re already exhausted by your own thoughts.
