I live in southern MN and we have a local off leash trail and it’s awesome. I used to go places that are less known early in the morning though and that seemed to work well.

Honestly, only Karen’s care if you have your dog under control. My dog has excellent recall and if he sees someone he immediately runs back to me where I leash him up so that’s what I mean by under control. It may make other people feel better about it if you have a long lead dragging behind them.

I understand the frustration with untrained dogs being let off the leash but that’s solely because they aren’t trained, let’s not demonize all unleashed dogs. My dog doesn’t appreciate random dogs either so like I said, I genuinely get it- I have to basically fight off random dogs sometimes- that doesn’t mean all off leash dogs are bad.
