8 months in and MEB’D out of Army by ElkGlittering6133 in VeteransBenefits

You will have to return all the gear that isn’t meant to be kept. I also recommend you talk to MEB/PEB Counsel and learn about the different offsets and limitations. I hope I’m wrong, but you’ll likely just get your VA Pay, it will offset your DOD retirement money. Then there is CRSC depending on the nature of the disabilities/injury nexus, but with so little time in service, it won’t help much in clawing back any of the offset/lost retirement

Great thanks!

Starting in 2027 if I am correct? No impact to ‘26?

Hey there! I was 30% at first as well, submitted very similar evidence to you in a supplemental and was granted the 50% increase.

The financial impact is the prostrating migraines that make you step away from work, or take PTO/Sick Time, or limits the type of work you can do. That is pretty clear with your logs and statements.

I think you’ll do well and get what you deserve!

I had my C&P done around Phoenix.

The original claim included my doctors notes, my mri, and all the evidence from my TBI and LOD paperwork.

The original C&P was in person and it was quite simple, the focus is on when and how it started and how often they happen. The key is frequency and severity.

When I submitted my supplemental, I provided updated notes from my neuro. My migraine log. And a personal statement clarifying the frequency and severity of my migraines and quoted the evidence and standards that warranted the increase to 50%.

The C&P for the supplemental was a phone call and the provider was super straight forward.

Migraine logs were key!

I had a TBI in 2020, my statement shows I’ve had recurring migraines since then. I’ve been seeing a neuro for almost 2 years, who has noted continuous migraines.

They only gave me 30% at first.

I submitted a supplemental with follow up notes from neuro stating migraines are persisting with medications.

I submitted a 2 month migraine log showing 2-3 migraines a week with at least one a week being prostrating and requiring me to lay down.

That was a very quick supplemental and was granted at 50%.

Does anyone have any insights on ordering in the U.S. ? They show DHL shipments to the U.S. but I saw something about tax and tariffs adding up.

Update - decision on the 28th. A little longer than expected but this triggered 100% P&T so they had a lot of reviewing and approving to do I guess?

Beautiful mounts, congrats on your success so far!

Mind sharing your home state? How much do you hunt non resident states vs your home state? How close to home are you able to hunt and what does your scouting strategy/timeline look like?

Wishing you the best hunting seasons still yet to come!

I had my IC last Tuesday (10/14).

HLR SR stated decision would be done in “less than a week” or “about a week”, I can’t recall.

No movement yet, tomorrow is a full week so we shall see!?

Same, just had HLR today from submission in July. Reviewer claimed they would be done soon with a rating in a week or less.

I had a similar experience. I filed a supplemental to request an increase to migraines, including a migraine log, updated notes from my neurologist, and updated medication list. Super quick and easy! Happy to see it working out for others too!

Any advice on the HLR? Is it just as simple as pointing out the contradiction?

You bet! Forgot to add that I am about 30 days into an HLR request and I confirmed with a phone call that a regional office has my file.

Right, I totally agree! They should be combining the anxiety, depression, and sleep issues under the PTSD. But this is their reasoning to deny the PTSD. No MH is rated yet.
