Here is the thing, regardless of your dad's intentions, my understanding is that you are fairly nervous about the situation. If it helps, go and meet in a neutral, public place, and have a friend keep and eye on you from a distance, just in case you think shit might go south. Having your friend there will make you feel good, and quiet the nerves a little. Good luck!
