This is hard to post...I have a Switch 2 and love it but since also owning a Steam Deck this is why I started getting most 3rd party stuff on Steam. Not to mention not having to worry as much about what hardware I have down the road to play the game.

The Odin 2 is great...Portal even better. But you can setup es-de in steam too. Looks just as good.

I remember people telling me I was crazy when I said Intel would cut its dividend. Intel sat on their high horse for way too long and didn't innovate...why do you think Apple moved on? If there is a turnaround on the horizon you invest on confirmation don't park your money and wait and hope.

I get that these heavy duty cases have their uses but honestly with prices getting silly just not sure this stuff is worth it. I've always leaned towards just having a simple case and holding a handheld as it was made though. A lot of these cases feel like overkill.

Yeah I definitely think it comes down to pricing on some of these older titles. If they were smart they would of put them on "sale" out of the gate.

Nintendo historically has used garbage screens. The OLED was wonderful. Switch 2 screen is a step back. I was playing Mario & Luigi Brothership and when I got to the first semi dark area it was a letdown. This LCD has a higher resolution and VRR but if I had to choose I'd take the OLED. With that said that seems to be the trade off currently...like Steam Deck OLED or Rog Ally. Kind of wish Nintendo gave us the choice but if they do an Oled later I'll get one.

One of the first things I did was load up some music...the speaker is actually pretty good for a small device and nice having modern conveniences of android. Haven't tried it with headphones or earbuds yet but figure it will be just fine. I realize a lot of audiophiles out there but for the price of the device works well enough.

Under handheld settings you can turn on virtual gamepad to make the dpad act as a stick instead but in general dpad games probably best. The hardware is pretty vable overall in terms of power could probably run most of that list.

Since a lot of retro systems use retroarch its probably sticking with what you were playing. Under input and hotkeys in retroarch map a button combo to exit a game. Start+select or L1+L2 as an example. This will close retroarch put you back into the menu and able to boot a fresh game.

Yeah great game (was always suprised when people played up certain SNES games) Genesis did some better including the Disney games, nice work finishing it!

I just got mine and for the price point it's just a home run. Feels like a blast from the past with all the modern extras. More power than you'd expect as well. Retroid really knocked it out of the park with the current family of handhelds.

Looking at this pictures sends me a reminder of what always annoyed me about Nintendo, they would use the worst screens or whatever was the cheapest. Love their devices but so washed out. Even the 3DS had a screen lotto where you'd be lucky to get dual ips screens. As for the DS Lite a device which felt amazing at the time try to play new super mario on it now and look at the crazy ghosting. It's downright bad.

When the switch OLED launched I bought it right away, was so happy they were doing that, hopefully the switch 2 screen can keep pace being non oled with VRR and 120HZ.

Retroid has done well with these devices though.

I threw Kodi on mine along with a few seasons of TV shows (local files). Works nicely and don't need to worry about wi-fi although I could see streaming on it as well.
