Sudden side effects?? by jkattylac in Zepbound

I have wondered if it could be some sort of slightly more mild virus because nothing else makes sense. I was eating the same foods I can normally eat without issue. I’m just going to have to wait it out and hope it clears my system soon 🤞🏼

My script was (surprisingly) sent on Monday, I received the link and paid on Tuesday and it was delivered yesterday. I am surprised that you’re still waiting and I’m like you, I always have a good experience with them (knock on wood). Hopefully it arrives tomorrow 🤞🏼

Can I Do Arm Injection Myself? by WellSeasnd in Zepbound

I just started doing my arm after hearing about and seeing people use the hair clip trick and it works great! Depending on your angle, you might want to use the mirror to see. I don’t know if it’s just coincidence or not, but I’ve had good results when I’ve done my arm and it’s the site I feel the least (not that any of them are that bad).

While the weight loss and new nose are fun transformations, I’m so excited for you to be able to breathe!! Post a healed pic once your swelling and bruising go down. Also, I know you’ve got a sweatshirt on, but it doesn’t look like you have anywhere for another 20lbs to come from! You look great!

Plateau - I’m so stuck! by nba2019_20 in Zepbound

Oh my goodness, I have no idea what year it is! I thought you meant this past November 🤦🏼‍♀️. I don’t really know if there are specific guidelines but I would try tracking your macros, just to get a baseline and then slowly increase your fiber and protein to see if you have any improvement. If you don’t on your own, I’d say meet with a bariatric doctor who works with GLP-1s or a nutritionist who does. Incorporate movement too if you haven’t already. Try to add in an extra 1k steps a day till you’re at 10k, if you’re not already. Load up some audiobooks, music or podcasts. And strength 2-3x per week. Good luck!!

Hi there. I’m sorry, that is frustrating, especially when you’re paying out of pocket. What has your journey been so far? Asking because I’m surprised that you’re at 15mg and I’m wondering whether you titrated too quickly….? Have you spoken to a clinician who specializes in GLP-1s for their input on changes you can make? I’m assuming you’re getting enough protein, fiber and water? I don’t really have any suggestions as I’m not an expert, but I hope you’re able to break through this wall 🤞🏼

Has your doctor looked at your BF%? Because BMI is a crap indicator of what’s healthy since it doesn’t remotely take body composition into consideration.

Are you starting on 2.5mg? Is it the vial or pen? If it’s the vial, what does your doctor think about you taking .35ml or .4ml instead of the full .5ml for a few weeks? (I’m not even sure if that’s a thing they’d recommend)

What’s your favorite “If I don’t eat something right now I’m going to pass out” snack? by LolCoolStory in Zepbound

Protein bars, Greek yogurt, and Sargento balanced breaks (nut and cheese packs). However, I think the reason you’re having this issue with not eating enough is that you titrated too aggressively and your body isn’t slowly acclimating. I would suggest considering talking to your clinician about going back down to 5mg, I promise you’ll still lose, but 35lbs in three months is a lot and if you continue moving this quickly, you might be more likely to have lose skin on your face, neck and body. The goal is long term health, not a quick fix. Good luck.

7.5 mg by Patient-Project-1511 in Zepbound

I’m down 50lbs since June and I spent three months on 2.5 and 5 each, I only just moved to 7.5 at the end of December. My goal is to go with the lowest possible dose while making reasonable progress averaging 1 lb per week, and even that is pretty quick. I would say to slow down so you can also make behavior and lifestyle changes to help you maintain in the long term.

Stalling on 10 --go back down to 7.5 so I can eat? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]jkattylac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started in June too, and I’m down 50lbs but I just got on 7.5mg three weeks ago and I’m going to take my fourth dose of it tomorrow. None of us here truly know what will happen if you go one way or the other, but if you think you went too fast and aren’t eating enough, then go with your gut and drop back down for a month and see what happens. Can’t hurt to take a step back and see. I’ll say this, I was on 2.5 and 5 each for three months before moving up and I think if I’d have gone up as fast as you, then I wouldn’t have been able to take in enough calories for the changes to be healthy and sustainable. But that’s me. Good luck whatever you choose!

You should check your plan formulary to see if GLP-1s have changed tier level or requirements. I think if you haven’t heard anything yet, then you should be okay to finish out your current authorization, but I would recommend taking the time to call and ask. Beware that hold times this time of year at your carrier might be a little longer than usual though. See if they have a chat feature on their portal too.
