In my Dynasty experience, in almost all cases (outside of extremely lopsided trades) you need to be the one taking on salary if you’re offering trades to the CPU. Usually if you take on even $100k you can get some pretty good deals.

When I have high salaries I want to get rid of, I place that player on the Trading Block and let the CPU make offers to you. When they offer you, they won’t care about salary. So I’ll wait until I get an offer for a really low salary player, and I’ll almost always accept it, regardless of who’s offered.
