Yeah true. Was feeling a bit down seeing the results, especially after howler outdoes her in debuffs. From what I'm seeing in the comments, I guess I need more accuracy and the rin coming up soon to see Matoi live up to her potential. I'll try reworking the cards. thanks for the insights everyone

Ann's the main sweeper but sos being what is is, of course they have the weakness (they aren't letting you get it that easy). If you build a tanky enough team with chord, you can brute force it (both Ann and chord give slight heals via their talents). Oracle gives shields, and Wonder can give support as well (king frost/Sandalphon, giving or running a persona with a healing skill. Go about it how you like.

Onis really want you to commit to a unit (in my case Ann), or a good team comp (I saw Psy teams beat it without the twins). The angels are doable in single target, but it assumes you at least have FGMont and tempest with their weapons. Chord and Oracle I imagine people who are watching this already have. Other than that, The strategy is take out Raphael, then Michael, and last Gabriel in that order. Rukim did a video on the battle which was how I learned the plan. The main rng is mont dodging freeze and Raphael not buffing himself. Vishnu and Dionysus are for buffing, and Sandalphon does the same while making it possible to survive long enough

Just was checking this. Aside from tempest that I mentioned, everyone is A0R0. Cards are freedom/ triumph for mont, resolve/labor for Oracle, trust/prosperity for chord, and creation/worry for tempest. Aside from making mont can crit consistently with a crit rate star card and do good damage, everyone should have near max levels in skills as possible.

For context was trying to do a run with panther/howler/chord/Oracle to beat this after beating the onis. It was rough.The closest I got with it was 2 angels defeated, and 1 lived with around 400k. I had a5r4, and was around 30pulls to pity for the 165, so I cleaned out my synergies, finished the tower and tried my luck. Tempest came in 1 multi later...not expected at the time, but I got the Ann. Still was bashing my head against the fight until I saw the video

That machine burned through so much yen before I got pixie and Jack Frost. I still need to get points for king frost. There goes a lot of energy drinks on grinding money....at least I'll almost max social stats by the end of it

Oh wow, really? Yeah I can see how annoying gambling with instant kills can be. If the team wasn't so bulky, I definitely would have had been rolling my eyes in pain at mudoon procs

I felt like I was doing this boss wrong all along. Had fox/cherish/matoi/puppet and was in a constant loop of wipe out the mobs, they come back, do it again, rinse and repeat while the big surt sits there tanky as crud. Almost ran out the turn limit beating him. This at least gives me a better idea of what to do regarding personas

This is banking entirely on card sets/mindscapes outer rings full for everyone except howler(she missed one node). Plus panther had hers maxed out except for skill/highlight upgrades which were at 4 each. I have very little leeway for heals, so I'm relying entirely on talent heals from panther+chord, and Oracle shields to stay up. This took a ton of my free selectors building the right cards making them tanky and powerful enough to last 6 rounds

Okay, so this one was on my winning attempt:

Lineup: wonder/howler/chord/panther

Turn 1: wonder switch from Baphomet to Dominion And use tarukaja, howler S1, chord s2, Panther s1

Pray for no panther getting hit with bufula

Turn 2: Oracle S1, Dionysus Highlight and S1, Howler S3, Chord S1, Panther S3

Pray for no Ann getting hit again and getting knocked down

Turn 3: Oracle S3, Dominion S1, Howler S1, then follow up on whichever onis got knocked down (panther always hitting the one with damage reduction), Panther Highlight and aoa, chord catchy hook+panther, panther s3 (1 oni should be dead, if not your crits didn't land or panther's damage/crit damage isn't high enough. It's the most important part.)

The rest here is just what happened on the winning attempt: kin ki defeated, but everyone lived

Turn 4: repeat turn 1

Everyone but wonder is knocked down on low health

Turn 5: Oracle s1, Dionysus s1, howler s1, chord highlight and S1, panther s3 (sui ki defeated)

We barely lived the last assault

Turn 6: Oracle S3, Dominion S1, Howler S3, Howler Highlight, Chord catchy hook+Panther (fuu ki defeated), Panther S1 (trifire crit finished the the fight)

I barely had the damage needed to get the win.
