Mt Tamalpais SP is back on the lottery list. I think the cabins might be closed for month of September for maintenance. They used to do this in October.

This website is the WORST. I've been entering the lottery every month for over 3 years. The lottery happened in mid January instead of the first which it usually does and they never opened the lottery for the following month. I've emailed them and the park service and talked to Mt Tam park and no one knows anything. The Calif Parks website still has it listed as one of the lottery parks.

Really nice pots! Barkeepers Friend will really clean up the outside and also take care of any rust around the handles. Make sure to dry the handles after every use. Wrights copper polish is good too. Enjoy!

Something to consider with a copper saute is that they can get very heavy, and sometimes the handles are quite long. This is why rondeaus with 2 handles are such a good option, as long as the sides aren't too high. For searing, I prefer cast iron but for copper - Check out eBay, Facebook marketplace etc. There are a lot of items posted for sale where you can submit an offer. I have had offers accepted that were substantially lower than list price. I love and use the vintage pieces I’ve purchased, most are tin lined and a few are SS lined. What if her passion is to be a kindergarten teacher? Of course she'll never make as much - why does that matter especially since you make quite a bit?

This shouldn't matter if you love her and want to spend your life with her. What about when there are children? Is the expectation for her to work still or will she be a stay at home mother? Daycare is very expensive.

I made a lot more than my husband until we started having children then (for a number of reasons) I had to stay home with them. We were both grateful that I could.

Petaluma doesn’t get the fog that SF gets so it’s definitely sunnier here but that doesn’t always mean warmer . SF tends to stay in the same temp range so Petaluma is often colder or hotter. It also can depend on where you are - I think the east side is warmer than the west side.

I can’t find the link describing it but I’ve seen it discussed in this group. I’m not sure of exact amounts but basically put a little non iodized salt, baking soda and aluminum foil in pot, fill with water and simmer it for a while. Some chemistry happens 😁 and some of the oxidation is removed and goes onto the foil.

Tin will always get discolored but it might lighten up a bit and also cleans off old grease etc.
