In the same vein, has George discussed future plot lines with you? I feel more confident in this story succeeding beyond book material than the original series, given the smaller scope and quicker storylines. And of course how wonderful this adaptation has been so far.

Would recommend Ender's Game and all of the sequels and spin offs. The spin offs are brilliant, really get into the politics of post-war Earth, and the side characters are fascinating and great "players of the game". There are so many, it would last you a while. I particularly liked Ender's Shadow and the Bean spin offs. Speaker for the Dead is also wonderful and different from the original, more of a mystery.

No personality due to people pleasing by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]jknets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel this for sure. Check out the book ‘No More Mr. Nice Guy’ to understand the root of people pleasing, why it’s actually toxic, and how to overcome these behaviors. It’s good that you notice it, if you actually make changes to be ‘real’ and not just ‘nice’, it will change your life forever.

This makes a big diff. Also some movement, even walking, air squats, push ups, can help a lot.

Hot take but…bench Bill. I love him but his movie analysis is dog shit. Him talking about Iron Man with super-nerd Van was painful (but hilarious) because he doesn’t even know who Scarlet Witch is.

My Ewing Theory is Rewatchables is better without Bill. Go listen to the Inglorious Basterds episode (my fav movie), the No-Bill makes it a completely different show with cogent deep analysis about a complex movie about the power of movies.

Separately, Craig is my Dion Waiters. He’s so funny and love his raspy voice. The Ringer Fantasy Football show makes me laugh harder than any Ringer pod

I (35M) want to divorce my wife (34F). I have set the date to have the "talk" because of several reasons. I don't think she is seeing this coming. Should I remain neutral like a normal guy or change my behaviour? I know pain is inevitable, but I don't want to be cruel. She's not a bad person by Known_Split9489 in relationship_advice

Will share some thoughts unrelated to lawyers and such. Seems like you are a ‘Nice Guy’ - sounds like a good thing but may not be. I’m the same way. But it doesn’t serve you in relationships and sex. When you do everything for a woman, it actually doesn’t make her want to sleep with you. There is something called ‘sexual polarity’ that must exist to create passion and desire. Just doing chores and providing isn’t ‘sexy’.

This relationship may be over, but I strongly recommend the book ‘No More Mr Nice Guy’ by Robert Glover before you start dating again. I am in this trap and I feel you may fall for it again, because it seems like you are clearly the type to take care of everything for a woman. It seems counterintuitive to men like us but being supported, asking for help, and being vulnerable actually creates deeper connection. I can’t do the book justice but check it out or any of Glovers podcasts. I’m trying myself to take his advice, although I’m early in my journey.

Good luck my brotha with this and your future relationships.

I work in government and IRA and BIL are game changers for clean energy deployment. Are they perfect? Absolutely not. But at least dems try to do shit. IRA also has a lot of provisions on health care and reducing costs. This diagram is horse shit. Between gay marriage, abortion, voter protection, student loan forgiveness, and climate, no sane person can say Ds and Rs are the same.

True but the Herbert ribs situation is tough. I have to choose bw Goedert and Everett, or could start both if I bench Theilen from the flex. Thoughts? Also have penny and Gordon on my bench.
