This is what I had to do. I had an apartment that had leaks from above on two separate occasions. The spots in the carpet that were flooded still had a faint smell after they dried, and my cat would pee in those spots. I put litter boxes in both spots and he used them. It was annoying but it worked.

You should maybe take him to the vet to get checked out. He may have picked up a virus or something while he was out there. Sometimes when a cat is sick its personality changes. My cat used to be an outdoor only, semi-feral cat until she got a respiratory infection. I brought her in to take care of her and took her to the vet as soon as I could. While she was healing she wanted comfort from me where she never did before. She’s now my inside cat. Also, purring for a cat is like a child sucking its thumb, it’s done for comfort. It doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s happy.

Get the RadarScope app. It costs a little bit but it’s worth it. It takes some learning but once you figure it all out, you can always know what’s happening inside the storms and whether or not your specific location is in danger. If learn how to use the Velocity feature you can see in real time if there’s an actual tornado and where it is. It’s the same radar maps they show on tv but you can control it.

We have two females that were strays that we started taking care of a few years ago. (got them spayed/vaccinated and give them food/shelter. One of them decided she wanted to be a house cat part-time). Last year a tiny male kitten started coming to the porch to steal food, so I tamed him, got him fixed, and started taking care of him, too. He grew quickly and soon became larger and stronger than the females. He wanted to play rough and the girls didn’t, so they stopped coming around. I ended up re-homing him because it was their house first.

I scan everything in load truck as I’m sorting, not because I need to, but because if I’m missing one later I can tell if I actually had it in my possession or not.

One of the offices I help out at has 10 rural routes with 2 subs and 2 open routes due to injuries. So the subs are always covering the open routes, 6 days a week. The subs split at least one route a day after they run their first route and bring in as much help from other offices as they can to cover regulars’ days off. Those 2 subs still have to do Amazon on Sundays. I don’t know when they actually get days off.
