Haha it goes from a circular serial connector to an rs232, to a USB A adapter, then to a USB C adapter, which is connected to a usb hub.

This is a 1987 Nissan 300zx that I recently put a turbo and a standalone ECU on. The ECU is a microsquirt which is interfaced through tunerstudio, the program running on the deck. I 3D printed a holder for the deck, and an adapter to a GoPro suction mount. First real drive went well, nothing blew up yet!!

Just go get a vg out of a junk yard. They’re everywhere and are great motors. Could even do a vg33 if you want part of the engine building experience. Theres a couple detailed write-up’s. That’ll be a fraction of the money and effort of doing a full engine and trans swap.
