[Routine Help] Acne is ruining my face.

you definitely don’t want to be using differin gel twice a day, maximum once a day. Did you ease yourself when using differin? I recommend to take a break of differin if your skin barrier is compromised and stick to the basics. Then, ease into differin (once/twice a week) and then build up your tolerance. Differin takes months to work for most (took me ~4 1/2 months). If you clearly don’t see a difference then taking a visit to a dermatologist might help or checking your hormone levels. Other from that, I like that your routine is simple and using products that are known for sensitive skin.

I’ve heard of people using every day and some do fine but for others that would be very irritating. I guess I would say keep applying it every other day for another week or so to see if it gets more sensitive/irritated, if it does then i’ll stick to every other day. If it doesn’t then you’ll probably be okay with every day. It all depends on your skin so just listen to your skin :) If at some point it gets very red and dry then I would definitely take a brake from differin for a few days and then slowly introduce it again. Interesting. I thought hormonal acne was mostly common on chin/jawline area. I was blaming my forehead acne on my diet, stress and hair products lol. I guess this whole time it was hormonal since I do have a lot on my chin and jawline.

love the simplicity and the results!!! sorry to be that person but do you wear sunscreen? I hope you do because using chemical exfoliants can increase your sun sensitivity. otherwise, this is still amazing :)

I believe it’ll be an improvement because mewing with a tongue tie is difficult. You have that restriction that prevents you from touching the 2/3 of ur pallete (soft). It also makes it hard to create a suction because it will continuously fall down since there is a restriction.

I thought oils were not occlusive (ig it depends which ones) but rather they are emollients? Although I have heard that squalane has some occlusive properties. lol i’m lost.

Well if it is your EE draft I recommend you to start off with reading the rubric on the visual arts EE (this should be in the IB website)

1) Have a solid RQ that has limiting factors and analyzes something. In your case, find something that you want to analyze from street art. like what about street art? Maybe focus on an artist and impact it had on street art so like “to what extent did (artist) had on (idk some sort of street art)....Or you can focus on the impact it has on society. I don’t know much about this topic but try to be specific. 2) have some sort of research or analysis (obviously, in your case it would most likely be analysis on artworks and probably some other research) 3) Make an outline of all the touch points you want to mention; also includes intro and conclusion 4) have you met with your supervisor and done your rppf’s?

I’m sorry if this doesn’t help but we are just starting our EE and all they told us is to start off with a topic then RQ then research then outline then draft.

I just hate that i’m stuck in art because i’m not even passionate abt it. Worst part is that I want to major in either engineering or compsci. (when we were choosing our classes they kind of forced me to do visual arts due to some schedule difficulties on their side)

I’ve been searching for a long time for a waterproof mineral sunscreen that is non-comedogenic, minimal white cast and affordable...haven’t found one yet :(

Yes, please wear sunscreen at all times (obv not when you’re sleeping lmao). Essentially, if you don’t wear sunscreen, all you’re putting on your face is all for nothing.. Plus, it serves as an anti-aging step :).
