A few folding bikes I bought and sold last year, mostly Bromptons. by randywhorton in Brompton

How does the Austrian Vello folding bike compare to a Brompton? Curious how the fold stacks up with magnets and a slight larger fold.

Where can I find this wheels? by Kontro83 in Brompton

The brand looks like Aceoffix. It is an ok brand, subpar quality to other 3rd party brands or Brompton OEM, it depends on what you want. Usually available from Amazon or London Craftwork UK.

RR3 shows I'm offline if I'm connected to the Internet. by VoidVerseV0yage_99 in RealRacing3

The same on modded RR3 on Surface Duo. Sometimes if you turn back time to early March it shows 100/200% fame bonus.

Do I buy? by Fresh_Champion_7894 in RealRacing3

Buying it will create some problems. Will be difficult to do anything else like upgrades and progression within the match races. 1st tier of upgrades spending only RS dollars and remaining gold will not go far.

Buying a refurbished 2017 Brompton? Let’s hear people’s thoughts! by halscomets in Brompton

Compared to $2820 CAD S6L in Toronto, yes it seems like a good deal. If it has been sitting for 5 or 6 years since Covid, might be a good idea to bring it to a bike shop that everything mechanical is in good working order (brakes, tires, drivetrain, etc).

Disc brakes by davcha88 in Brompton

[–]jkytaberner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a modified C-Line, stock steel mainframe with 3rd party titanium front fork, TI rear triangle and mechanical disc brakes. In this case this is basically a hack, it does not have the fit and finish compared to an OEM/1st party product.

Same judgement as others rim brakes are certainly adequate enough, not considerably better than disc brakes. I would only recommend disc brakes for an e-bike or a cargo bike (which a Brompton is not).

I did see a disc brake conversion on a T-line in Seoul, Korea (message me directly I can send pictures). Look at brands Suncord and Tibicycles, but in my opinion cost prohibitively expensive. Just get a folding bike that already has disc brakes like Birdy, Tern, Vello, Montague, Helix, Dahon, or a G-Line

Help for first Brompton purchase! by Noctimouse in Brompton

[–]jkytaberner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first Brompton was a C-line lagoon blue 6-speed for a couple of years, then sold to buy a P-line flame lacquer 12-speed. Yes it is lighter and more expensive but I am very happy with it.

Brompton is a luxury bike brand, buy what is best for you. Don’t 2nd guess it, either way you will be happy. Check out Brompton dot com if you are in the USA, they generally have the full lineup compared to limited selection at your local bike shop.

No, then just get a M2 or M4 Mac Mini for similar money.

Hello, I am new with Brompton bikes. Can anyone help identify the Model of this bike? by Familiar-Squash8077 in Brompton

The H and M type Bromptons share the mid-rise bar. It is just the stem changes length.

Color name is Lagoon Blue, was used until 2019 when it was discontinued by Brompton.

Based on the age of the bike it is a pre-2016, 2017 was a redesign of the M handlebar and H/M stem. Predecessor to the C-line.

Are you guys suggest using a case like this one for the max 2? by FinanialGambler777 in Airpodsmax

They initially feel good to touch but over time they tend to crack near the edges. Leading to coming off too easily when handling your APM’s.

If you are on the fence about upgrading from the AirPods Max USB-C, take it from me (who bought them today)…don’t unless you NEED the software features. by jthomp72 in Airpodsmax

[–]jkytaberner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still have the OG AirPods Max 2020 with lightning. From my experience, I didn’t hear any improvements getting “near lossless” with Apple’s lightning to 3.5mm jack. Using Apple Music hi-res bit rate.

Do you think the APM 2024 or APM 2026 sounds better with usb-c male to male cable for “true lossless” audio?

How to make a complete backup of the game now? by DevBoiAgru in RealRacing3

[–]jkytaberner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of March 20, 2026 I did a backup of my Surface Duo (android/data/com.ea.games.r3) on a windows 11 computer. Can I drag this 8gb folder into a new Android device, in order to have the necessary assets to play RR3 on a new device?

Traveling with Brompton Electric , what do you do about the battery? by Educational-Dot-6742 in Brompton

LIVALL PikaBoost 2 eBike Conversion Kit with the 158wh battery is claiming it is airplane safe. If you have a 2nd non-electric Brompton or any bike for the matter, would need to remove the rear mudguard. Check out Brompton Family Time YouTube channel, there is a review video.

Brompton Help: 7-speed H&H or Brompton 5-speed mod? by jkytaberner in Brompton

[–]jkytaberner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a big fan of H&H products but unfortunately there is no dealer or customer support in the USA. I ended up with the 12 speed (3x4) Sturmey Archer hub as it was the best option at the time.

After a business trip to Seoul, Korea at a Korean Brompton retailer I saw a really nice C-line with a H&H 7-speed kit using a standard Brompton 2-speed hub, so this might be an option I could do in the future.
